Usually I would wait, but inform the client and check your statute of limitations. If there isn’t a looming SOL deadline, it’s not usually going to be in the clients best interest to file a complaint if you’re close to settling.

like

Thank you. Silly question, but why would it be harmful to the client’s interests?

I would follow up a week or two after they emailed you about the Covid issue. I’m on the defense side, and usually settlements don’t go very quickly even without Covid being in the mix. It also may be that the primary company contact is the principal out with Covid, so the associate (or whoever emailed you) doesn’t just have authority to push the settlement through.

HI everyone. I very recently joined PwC as a Technology Consultant (I moved over from a big tech company where I was in business development and solution engineering), but my goal is to be in an internal role that isn't client-facing and is more projects- / ops-based. What opportunities are there at PwC for this? Which LOBs should I look into? Is there anyone I should reach out to? I have read about Trust Services and IFS, and am also very interesting in marketing or sales operations.

I’m an associate attorney at a mid-size family law practice. (5 attorneys, 3 support staff). I’ve been here for 3 years and just asked for a raise to $130k from $90k. My annual billable target is 1400. However, since I’ve been here I’ve barely broken 1000 despite working my ass off. I bill out at $375. They told me no more raises unless I start taking my own cases. Now they just hired a new associate and are paying him $170k and he takes his own cases. Am I being unreasonable asking for $130k?
