Places to Stay Marriott Wailea Beach Resort - if you stay here the breakfast at the hotel restaurant is great. Food Mamas Fish House (make a reservation now, the place books months / year in advance) Merriman’s MonkeyPod Kitchen Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop If you like beer - Maui’s Brewing Co The town of Lahaina has a bunch of lunch style restaurants and small shops Things to do Road to Hana (do this one of the first days of your trip. Since it is best to get up early and at the beginning your body is still on mainland time) Horse Back Riding (@ The Mendes Ranch) Zip Lining (we booked with Skyline Eco Adventures) Luau (Most hotels have them) Snorkeling If you want to splurge a helicopter tour is nice. We didn’t do this, but I heard the views are breathtaking. Also rent a car! It is impossible to get around without one.

Ok. I just got back and it was incredible! Below are my recommendations: + Wailea Beach Resort Marriott - amazing hotel with gorgeous pools, long sidewalks along the ocean, gorgeous sunsets, great treatment of Marriott elite members, and so on. Really don’t have a single bad thing to say. We spent most of our time out on the island doing activities, but we took a day on arrival and departure to sit by the pool and watch the whales breaching just offshore. Magnificent. + Spa at the Grand Wailea (right next to the Marriott Wailea Beach Resort) - this place is incredible. They have a fabulous set of mineral spas of different types, and we got a couples massage that was just perfect + Golf at Wailea Gold Course & Kapalua Plantation + Rent a car (jeeps are the most popular and super fun!) and drive the Road to Hana. Use GypsyGuide app! It was amazing because the app tells you everything you must stop and see and also suggests some optional activities along the way, plus tells you about the history of Hawaii. You must stop and see the Hana Lava Tube! It’s basically a giant cave formed by lava thousands of years ago. So cool. + Spend an evening in Lahaina. It’s extreeeeeemely touristy but kind of fun to look around the T-shirt shops and art galleries + if you aren’t dive certified, snorkel Molokini and consider going with a group that does SNUBA (basically a shallow dive that doesn’t require SCUBA certification); we used Pride of Maui and they were great Happy to provide additional suggestions if you’re interested! That was the most fun trip I’ve been on in a long time!

Are there any openings (NY area) for digital strategy consulting that has exposure to the implementation side of things? I've noticed that alot of "digital strategy" is emphasized on media planning/marketing but wondering more so on the generalist side that includes aspects of planning, product management, implementation/execution, etc.. Thanks in advance folks

Anyone know if it’s possible to work at ALL of the big 4 firms? Like every title switch; e.g. PWC Associate > EY Sr. Associate > Deloitte Manager, etc.

Need advice. Met a guy in feb, talk everyday, great chemistry, shared interests, values, and goals. Problem is, before we met, I really wanted to experience living on the west coast (currently on the east) & took a job across the country, so ill have to move sometime in the near future. Unsure when I can return & he’s expressed doubts (what if you end up loving it there, etc.) Also, despite having talked for so long, we haven’t done anything physical yet (he’s in a high risk profession) (cont)

Is consulting as advertised when it comes to career acceleration? Personally, I am starting to doubt it. It feels like the skill sets are a bit dated and the world has moved on. Also, we get put on so many random engagements it’s hard to build tangible skills. I am talking big 4, MBB is a different game.
