Make the move. There is an abundance of people with big 4 experience here. I got a great job with my big 4 experience and I was only a senior associate when I left.

Thanks for your input!! 😌👌🏻

I agree with the above RSM poster. I’m at a Top 15 firm and have had no issues getting my foot in the door at places I’ve interviewed. I’ve only been casually looking with no real intent to leave, but I guess the moral of the story is that if you know your stuff and present yourself well, I don’t think the Big 4 stigma will work too much against you

Much appreciated!!

Same as K1 suggested, if you can move to big 4 now or once COVID 19 problem settles down. Having the big 4 experience, would make things easy when it’s time to leave for industry. I am not saying that you won’t be able to find jobs with regional experience but the big 4 stamp does help.

Thank you!!

All the jobs I applied to said big 4 preferred, but i scored multiple interviews, and three went as far as offers. Big 4 might get you in the door faster but dont discount yourself or your company! It all comes down to how you present yourself in your resume and during interviews

This was sweet! Thank you!!

What type of jobs are you looking for? One thing to keep in mind about NYC is that it’s all about the competition. I mean that in many situations when apply for a job there will be several hundred applicants, and all have similar experiences. The key is standing out from the crowd, and if big 4 helps you do that you should go for it.

No current preference in mind but from the wide range of applications I’ve seen it says big four preferred so I was curious!

Im at rsm now, used to work at KPMG (shown by account handle) and I can tell you first hand recruiters reached out to me 10x more when I had “KPMG” as my current title. Make the jump. You’ll be doing yourself a favor and branding your resume

Thank you for this!!

I’m two years out of school and have been considered a high performer so far, but it’s taken a toll on my mental health and I feel anxious most days. United lost my son's car seat on a 3 hr flight. It was registered as a checked luggage with the proper csrseat tag and everything. After following up with an agent after we landed, they said it stayed in EWR and they are working to get it shipped to me in the next day or so while I'm on vacation. Anyway to get points for the inconvenience, I'm Premier platinum if it matters. They did give me a free loaner carseat until mine arrives but it's kinda crappy tbh.
