Isle of Skye is stunning, but honestly so is the rest of Scotland. Just rent a car and drive. You will not regret it.
Hike arthur’s peak if in edinburgh, get a nice view of the whole city and then eat at the pub at the bottom. Believe it’s called pig’s head
Highly recommend Isle of Skye. If there check out Talisker distillery and Old Man of Storr
Glencoe and isle of Skye. Skip loch ness. Really though you can't go wrong. Scotland is beautiful.
Single malts. Drink as many as you can. Especially Islay and speyside
We also rented a car and did the full loop in about a week. Stayed one night at the Glenmorangie House. It’s beautiful and offered amazing beach hiking but was also spendy.
Also ask about the local gins. They are delicious and harder to find stateside than scotch
Ask Ron Swanson
I went in early March last year and still had a great time. Get to the Highlands for some hiking and go to distilleries. If you’re unaware, each region has distinct whisky so worth checking out multiple distilleries
If you do a day in Edinburgh, they have the scotch whiskey experience where you do a tasting of the various regions /styles and you can go from there. I had fun doing one of the night /ghost tours there.
