Planning a trip to Miami for a few days for the first time. Primarily going to relax on the beach, have good food/drinks, and do some shopping. Is it worth it to rent a car or should I plan to Uber and walk?

Ubers there are pretty inexpensive. Miami is also fairly walkable, so I would recommend not getting the car unless you need to go somewhere far.

If you’re staying in one area, you’re doing Miami wrong.

funny

Uber. No need for car unless going on expedition.

Uber. Then you can drink with impunity

Go to SWFL instead if you want to want to relax, have good food and great shopping. Sanibel and Marco island are prime for relaxing

If you will stay in Miami Beach, you will not need a car. You can walk or take the free trolley. Parking is ridiculously expensive for tourists. If you will stay in Miami, it could make sense to have a car unless you are ok taking the bus.

Just FYI the beach isn’t very relaxing in Miami.

What are the right hotels? Is Loews Miami beach good?

Watch out. It’s spring break

OP, when is your trip?
