Go to Portugal! You can find hotels / AirBnBs at a fair price and food is amazing (also fair prices). Lots of things to do and see. Highly recommend it!

Greece would have incredible ruins, which is great, but not relaxing. Lots of walking and seeing and catching transportation Portugal looks pretty (I’ve never been). I’d go with Portugal for a nice, relaxing, European vacation.

Portugal hotels will give you more bang for your buck compared to the Greek islands where hotels are very pricy and rooms are small and plain. But the views in Santorini for instance are incredible and you can get affordable food and stay in a quiet spot on the cliffs (Mykonos is more of a bougie party spot but also beautiful). I know there are other great islands to visit as well. Seeing the Acropolis is amazing too (I don’t hike and it was a doable uphill walk) and hotels in Athens are more affordable as there is lots of competition. I love both Portugal and Greece. Porto is great for wine tasting and Lisbon is a cool city to explore. I think it depends on what kind of trip you’re looking for and I haven’t been everywhere either country has to offer so can only speak to some places.

If you have a few extra days also explore the Azores (Portuguese islands, and a common entry point with connecting flights)

I went to Porto and Lisbon during Thanksgiving 2019. Drizzled a little a couple days but overall the weather was really pleasant and there were less tourists than in the summer.

Both are good choices, flip coin!

It will be too cold to have a relaxing, beach vacation in Greece. It would be a good time for ruins but as stated above, that is not relaxing. I would go with Portugal.

Following. Just watched an episode of somebody feed Phil about Portugal and also wanting to see if it’s a possibility! Based on what I saw - looked like a mix of Montreal / Barcelona / parts of Puerto Rico

Where are you coming from? Unless you are looking for additional things like history and stuff, why go to Europe? Seems like a waste if you just want relaxing. Get a beach house somewhere closer

Well, thank you sir! I just like to travel to Europe.
