You can find some really amazing suites on Airbnb
We checked however we need enough room for 8. Basically I didn’t know it $2000 from the other bridesmaids was worth using my points.
I’ve consistently used about 180,000k points total for rooms that would’ve costed $3.8k

From my experience the Cosmo has some if not the worst redemption value in the entire Bonvoy program
Good to know. Thanks!

Absolutely yes. Converting points to cash is perfect. Your bridesmaids may think you are cheap because it’s not costing you money and you are getting dollars from them. That is the only risk I see... I think you are right asking for money, but other people see it otherwise
It’s cost me blood, sweat, and tears. Kidding lol. but these are my exact thoughts. I think I’d rather get the cash and rack up more points for my next vacay. Thanks!
Are you trying to book a suite for 8 or separate rooms?
Had no idea about those. Really just wanted to use my Marriott points and pocket cash haha. I’ll check that out thanks

Ok so I get your goal now. You are looking to a cash pocketing value of 0.5, which is lower than the standard value of Marriot points at 0.7-0.8. You are essentially forgoing around $1,000 of Marriot point value
Are you telling your friends you’re doing this? If my friend did this and took money from me without me knowing I would be upset.
That’s good they agreed to it and it works out for everyone! I just know points can be a weird subject for people who aren’t in the consulting world
