Hmm, interesting. Munich doesn't have a lot of Marriott locations. If i don't want to stay near the train it all looks like its pretty far from central Munich. It southeast in Westpark or northeast in arabella park far from central munich. Any suggestions? It will be me and my wife traveling together. We are sightseers, not big partiers.

If you are a guy and you take care of your wife when you come back late at night then I think it’s just fine. I was more concerned about girls going to those areas at night coz it’s not safe for girls alone

Assuming it's the one by the hauptbanhof, I've stayed at that Courtyard and it's a solid choice. And Munich as a city is good, there aren't really too many bad areas. Proximity to the train station is very useful. And you're walking distance to Augustiner Keller, one of my favorite breweries/beers anywhere (assuming you're a beer drinker).

Anywhere near the central train station is sketchy. I would not stay there if you are a girl traveling alone

I have a long flight coming up (with two layovers, and one of the flights is 8 hours long — red eye). My daughter is 2yo and I’m debating whether we should take the car seat with us or not. She’d be more comfortable in the plane and would be easier to “restrain” her… But the thought of carrying that huge and heavy car seat across four airports doesn’t sound very appealing. Any advise?

What an inspirational mother.

I have been unhappy about my current job for a bit now, been at the company for almost 10 years, and have started looking for a new job. I have a solid job offer on the table, but a newer PE group just reached out and are looking for a high level either VP or Director of retail sales (my specialty). I am more interested in this private equity group as I would get to build a whole team and really make a retail strategy but they are newer so I am unsure the stability. Thoughts on working for a PE?
