If anyone is interested in getting their foot in the door into product management, a colleague of mine is hiring at a small healthcare predictive data analytics company. The role would be fully remote. Please DM if interested for the referral. https://jobs.silkroad.com/CarewiseHealth/Certilytics/jobs/241
What is it like working in PE? What type of work do people in this field normally do from week to week? Is the field generally taxing with tons of working hours or does it vary on company, industry specialization, team, etc. Currently a Big 4 management consultant and a head hunter reached out about a PE Equity Operating Associate role in the southeast region.
More than likely receiving an offer for a more technical position than I’d like in my career. In short, I think it pigeonholes me into a role I’m not comfortable with and have little interest for. How do I politely reject the offer when it comes through?
Anyone know of a similar resource to levels.fyi for engineering? A family member is trying to get more info about a position at Lockheed Martin
Interested to hear any success stories about M&A attorneys at middle market firms (firm is 600+ but is regional and only does middle market transactions) and from an unranked law school finding an M&A in house role. I want to go in house but can’t fathom doing commercial transactions for the rest of my career but M&A in house gigs for obvious reasons tend to be at Fortune 500 companies that almost always require top credentials. Should I give up? Is my resume just going to the shredder?
Fishes !!! I am looking for a job change in sap basis domain having 5 years of experience ! Please let me know if there any any openings ! 😀
McKinney is hiring a Senior In-House Programmatic trader in our Durham office! Looking for someone who's highly analytical & has experience w/ The Trade Desk or similar platforms. https://mckinney.com/careers/?gh_jid=1889579
I work for one of the big 4 consulting firms in technology. Has anyone heard of ALKU consulting? Got a call from them for job opening. Wanted to get some information before moving forward.
C’mon industry role...pick me, dang it.
Those who want to join FAANG: don’t you think that the upward mobility is limited? Thousands of super ambitious MBB background people with top credentials joined these firms over the last decade.
Anyone interested in a temp (6 month contract, likely extended) Org Effectiveness and Talent role in luxury retail in NYC? Looking for 5+ YOE, title / salary commensurate with experience. Feel free to DM!
Hi Fishers Need your expert guidance! Having 2 offers from qualitest and Capgemini for devops engineer role! JD is pretty much same in both the orgs but Qualitest is providing fixed X lpa and Capgemini is also giving fixed X.8 lpa. So which offer should I consider? Please help me here!
Anyone exited to retail from T1/MBB? What types of roles and what’s been your experience with the day to day work?
Is moving from MBB to FAANG non tech roles (strategy & ops) worth it? How is the career progression?
What credentials do you need to get into MBB. I have a 4 yr B.E undergrad and an MIS grad degree. Worked for an IT services firm for 2.5 years, Deloitte for a year and now KPMG. Any tips?
Considering a position at a known tech brand...how much stock options should I be asking for/how does it work?
Has MBB lowered their standards? Maybe it’s my time.
How much do you all actually trade with and what do you throw at 1 specific position? I have ~200k in the market and only ‘trade’ with 25k the rest is in index funds
An ex colleague has reached out to me for a role that seems quite exciting only issue is I’d be reporting directly to him (cont..)
Thinking about making the move to new york. Anyone aware of places that are hiring? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!
Found out my colleague I considered a friend threw me under the bus and told my manager I was causing delays with our project. This came as a surprise to me and I’m not sure how to handle this
Hi, I have a ques. So ideally the expiration date on my i797 would have been in August'23 (since the previous one was in aug'20) but it's actually in feb'23. Is there a mistake on USCIS side or employer's immigration team? Also, is this common?
Coming from PA, which type of role/service would stand out when applying at an investment bank?
gender equality is great and all but god dammit what i wouldn't do to have the first day of my period off from work.
I feel like I’m on the outside looking in and I don’t like what I see. I haven’t returned to teaching this year because I was overwhelmed by what was being asked of us and chose to use all of my sick time instead. From this perspective, I see teachers being used and abused. I see teachers asking questions about situations that should never be tolerated. We are the professionals. Why are we allowing this? It’s the Stockholm Syndrome for education. We provide a valuable service. Remember that.
sitting on an offer from chiat\day LA right now, decent salary for a mid level designer, but i know i can make a lot more being brand side at a tech company, talking to a few rn. i’m wondering if i should do it for the experience and networking? how’s chiat\day lately? ive been freelancing and was hoping a senior title will make me give up that lifestyle. eventually i want to work on sets and do more things in entertainment honestly
Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?
Anyone feel like it’s gender wars in the consulting bowl right now? I know we’ve linked to a couple of them but they just keep coming and the loudness of it is frightening
Hi BCG fish, Can you provide me comp details for BCG Digital Consultant. This is mostly in DAS - digital accelerator something. Looking for fixed comp and bonus ranges? Also, what industries do BCGDigital consultants work in? Is it only tech or also in other industries such as Financial services?
Partner: I've been sitting on a request all week. You need to stop billable work and put together this deck today. And be quick about it. Cool? I thought so.
Strongly prefer working in-person (I’m a people person) but potentially have a great too-good-to-turn-down opportunity that would be fully remote. Advice on how to make WFH better?
In EY advisory during promotion year will there be extra salary increment apart from the normal year end appraisal? Expecting promo from SC to Manager
Any WFH parents, also watch their kids during the day? If so, my question is HOW do you make that work? I have a hard time imagining a scenario where I could handle both at the same time...
I suck at case interviews. :( Engineering undergrad and currently in a tech consulting role. Feel like I lack general business knowledge. Had an interview today for a Strategy position and feeling discouraged. I am great at setting up a framework but I struggle with progressing the case (anticipating what’s next) and the math. What resources can I use that don’t require spending $200-400 on a course? Or, if it really is a matter of taking a course, which one should I take?
Hey guys, got an offer from a niche consulting firm with a great reputation. Their pay is lower in comparison to market but is currently higher than mine. Would it be appropriate to ask them for future Green Card sponsorship / include it as part of the offer letter (obviously, upon meeting satisfaction requirements). Need your advice on negotiating here. BTW, I’m from the UK.
NYC vs Chicago - considering moving out of NYC (obvious reasons :-)), though we love the city and like diversity and energy for our kids to grow up (no suburbs). Any thoughts/experience on Chicago?
How do you all navigate a job search while working? I'm looking to move to another job and I'm currently in my first post-undergrad job. Finding it difficult to identify the most efficient steps to switch. Is networking the most important step? What is the most efficient way to get the interview invite?
