No

Nope, unless layover is over 24 hours.. or you leave the airport. In case of delays they will help you get a 24 hour visa on the spot .

Thanks folks , not staying over . Layover is 1 hr so should be good .

Currently working for company A. Company B is applying for H1B transfer and I will join when it gets accepted. I will also put in notice at company A when H1B transfer is accepted. For the 2 weeks that I’m serving the notice at company A and the time that I’ve joined company B, will I be in trouble for that overlap, or can I only start at B after my notice is served at A?

How does one get to DCA Terminal A (Southwest airlines) via public transport? I know the yellow/blue goes to DCA but it drops off at the opposite side of the airport. That walk over is easy enough to manage if you have a small carry on and budget the time to walk, but not so manageable if you have larger luggage.

Hello everyone, Need suggestions before making an important decision I have offer from Cognizant and they are promising that they will initiate my Canada visa in next quarter. I spoke to them and they assured over call. Also, my current employer accenture is also saying the same to retain me. Should I believe Cognizant? Which company is good when compared to Canada onsite? Please share your inputs per your experience! Thanks in advance!

I’m current an S1 in corporate tax for a Top 10. I had an interview with a Big 4 for a tax technology position, but didn’t get in. I’m heartbroken because it was my dream job. 😅Everyone I spoke to seemed to like my experience and the recruiter said the team liked me as well, but they didn’t offer any feedback. Any advice on software or certifications I should get to help me get into tax technology and tax transformation? I’d really appreciate it - thank you for hearing me out!

Hi All, seeking advise. I was hired at the beginning of this year just before the market blown up here in Australia. Perf wise I passed early probation and received pay raise and a promotion back to back in two months but yet I'm so under the market rates. I'm so comfortable with the team and I love what I'm doing and achieving, but financiallyI'm struggling. And what upsets me the most that the new hires are getting way I mean WAY more than me even if that was a junior role. What should I do?

Have a true IIED case (negligent handling of corpse). Defendants defaulted and I am now considering the best course forward to get my client the best recovery. The easy route would be Default Judgment, but my concern is a judge may not be willing to make the type of award we are seeking. Alternatively could set the matter for trial only on damages since all allegations are admitted. Thoughts on best way to convince a judge to make a 7+ figure award in a Default Judgment?

This might be the MOST important and ONLY post of any true value I post this year, so please, let me know why you might agree or disagree: With all the awakening regarding employment and compensation in our business (remote, unlimited personal time off, parental leave, equal pay, etc, etc..) wouldn’t the most amazing thing we could do be to create PENSIONS? Our parents’ generation had them. Knowing there’s going to be money there when we can’t sling ads anymore could relieve so much stress now.

I’m up for promotion this month. I will be in charging jobs this busy season. What do you all use to stay organized? As a staff I was using just a regular planner. Now I’m wondering if a project planner would be better. I use the goodnotes app for a planner currently. I’d prefer keeping it digital so I have it on my phone if I forget my iPad.
