Planning to go to b school in a year. Should I continue to max out 401k and take out a big loan for school or contribute only to the matching limit and save that extra cash for b school??

i think save for extra cash to network

What IR is the loan vs what return do you get on your 401k? Math and choose

like

Homo economicus says max out 401k. Take out loan as the interest on it will be less that what you earn over the long term investing creating a net gain.

like

Huh?

Well, issue with the loan though, is if you change employer you have to pay it all back.

No shot I get it paid for by PwC lol. Our MBA program sucks

Not only MBA program...

You need cash to enjoy and also network at school

PWC2 have u seen the latest student loan rates? Depends on your 401Ks risk profile whether u make more or not and also your credit score and access to refinance loans post graduation.

OP, you actually have really good odds of receiving Advisory Scholars if you're a top performer. Roughly 35 - 40 people apply each year and 15 - 20 receive it

Friday was complicated. So, I am going to break it down. Nasdaq 100 Futures (NQ) traded to the 9837 level, 32.75 points short of it's 50% HWB short. It then proceeded to sell off like nobody's business to 9846.50, 31.5 points higher than the projected objective for the HWB short. So, if you followed me on the channel, we were positioned for a nice rally at the end of the day. Markets have no memory on Friday afternoon. So, I think we are going up eventually and rally hard.

Can’t call yourself an “investor” but the second you see a position fall +20-30% start to question or panic sell. However, if this is you, and your equity position was initiated off a whim or a blind recommendation, I struggle to feel any sympathy lol especially if you were someone buying stocks (MGNI for example) when they were approaching ATH

I want to get my PhD, but all of the programs I want require a full time commitment for the first year. What are my options? Is a sabbatical an option? Or would I have to straight up resign? Utilization notwithstanding (I’m a GPS consultant)…is it possible to go part time? I completed my master’s full time while a full time Deloitte consultant. I know school can be done, but for PhDs they usually want you to also work as a TA. Additionally, I am not interested in online programs.
