Planning to leave the new job I started a month ago. Should I mention it in my resume or bring it up during the interviews?

Woah! What happened?

like

Wife got a much better job in different city. Going to be trailing spouse.

like

I wouldn’t bring it up.

like

C1, Why would that show up on your background check if you dont list it? Op, just tell them you moved to a new city hence the gap.

like

I probably wouldn’t bring it up unless asked

like

Don't mention it.

like

Neither

like

But I mean they’re going to see it on a background check so you kinda have to bring it up. What are you gonna say when they ask what you’re currently doing

like

I think it's reasonable to say company was great, but I'm leaving so that I can live with my spouse.

like

So when you’re interviewing and they ask what you’re up to you just lie.... i don’t see how this wouldn’t show up on a background check.

like

Def not

Keep in mind this will probably get flagged in background checks

Different thought: have you tried to see if your current company would let you continue but from the new location?

As a previous recruiter, this isn’t a big deal. You’re married. Your spouse got moved. This happens all the time. No reason to risk lying. Just explain the move and the gap was because you were looking for a job in the new city as your current company wouldn’t allow for teleworking.
Now...if your current company does allow you to telework, why wouldn’t you just stick it out till you find a new job?

It's better to show and explain it by saying your spouse moved than to omit and lie about it. No one should fault you for the former, but everyone would fault you for the latter.

Recently I got invited to an interview with a decent growing company. I work in Executive Search and I am thinking of switching to in-house recruiting. During the conversation the recruiter made some weird assumptions about my current job. The interview took longer than expected and I feel like I have not delivered well. Was I wrong to expect in-house recruiter to understand the differences and similarities between in-house-recruiting, professional search and retained executive search?

Hi all! I’m in the search of a remote HRBP role, looking for a company that is willing to pick me up as a new HRBP. I’ve been in the role 4 months, but this company is a disaster. The culture is so bad, I had an employee say they can’t even go to the bathroom without permission. I’m really not wanting to go back to a generalist role. Prior to this job, I had another offer of HRBP but I didn’t like the interview. Been in the field 6+ years. Let me know if anyone has anything!

What happens if I decide to take a full scope or be willing but after I join the company or project I get cold feet and decide not to? Do I just get let go or have dire consequences? I am being pushed by recruiter to get a FS but I am not sure. The backlog is huge though so maybe I throw the dice and learn a lot then leave before I need to if at that point I am not 100% in it?

Thanks
