Planning to move to industry from consulting...what pay raise / cut (%), should I expect if planning to be in same city where I am now?

I’m working as an allocator in market neutral public market strategy funds; am about to be recommended for a promotion to associate. However, an analyst position just opened up internally in Credit, which is where I aspire to be for the next ten years. More growth and more intellectual challenge. I’m conflicted about applying for a lateral transfer and losing out on a promotion. Will I be missing out a promotion or should I negotiate a promotion as part of my application to this role ?

Heard and surprised at that at least two seniors in different firms got 0% salary raise and none of them have lower than average rating... What kinda situations would lead to no pay raise like this??

I went to school in a different country (Jamaica) I have a BSc. in Finance & Management (double major) from an accredited university, now I live in the US and currently work as an Accounting Bookkeeper for a mid size company, I am very good at my job, came in and implemented alot of systems to make everything run efficient and boost productivity. While I feel appreciated by my team, I don't feel I am being paid my worth. How do I start the conversation of asking for a raise?

M recently given the green light for SM, my third promotion at my firm. Partner that I work with frequently asks me to support a direct hire SM in pursuit responses. In my first experience with her she spoke to me like I owe her support and was there to make slides for her. Now I am being asked again to help her and drafted SOW sections and slides, which I did. She won’t even say thank you let alone give me sales credit. How do I handle interactions with her and make her see me as a peer?

Our CEO’s EA left 2 wks ago, I took over in the interim while also managing our HQ & supporting the finance team. We’re a telemedicine startup & grew from 200-550 emp in 2 yrs. It’s a very hectic, fast paced environment. They’ll hire an AA to help me in the office but a lot of my tasks will still fall on me. My 2 yrs is coming up, planning to ask for a raise & a temp salary adjustment while I’m EA/OM(4+ months) I have 7 yrs exp as an EA but only 2 yrs in startup. IYO how much should I ask?

I’m a 3rd year associate at a MM PE fund that has been successful in deploying our first fund and we’re now raising our 2nd at ~$400M. I was the 1st hire 2+ years ago and am the only associate. I do everything including DD, PortCo value creation and IR. Currently paid $250k all-in in a HCOL but with no carry & work 70+ hrs. Am I paid market? How should I broach a title/raise/carry participation discussion? My partners haven’t run a PE firm before as they were operators so not sure they know.

It’s that time of year for firms to consider attorney promotions. How has covid affected that? If someone’s hours or origination credit is lower, do you give some leeway and still consider them for promotion? Or is it “business is business” & you apply the same rules as in normal years? I’m curious how other firms are handling.
