Anyone know of any openings for a SC in commercial SI PMFT? Trying to switch from federal and staffit is zero help (surprise).
Anyone in Chicago looking to work at a plaintiffs personal injury firm? The firm I work for is hiring.
Black (Stone vs Rock), which one has better exit ops for technical manager role. What’s the bonus potential?
Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team. New leadership than when I was hired
I went T2>MBB and am thinking of going back to T2 because I prefer to aim for partner (MBB is not sustainable for me) rather than taking industry exit... Is this a dumb move? I’ll be dropping pay slightly but with better working hours one step below partner vs industry at ‘head of’ level...
Didn't have top grades, wasn't on law review. Worked at a midsize firm and was laid off in march-- have about 3 years experience in a hot practice area. Have been applying and had some interviews at larger shops but nothing has come of it. I'm still applying to roles (not many out there) in my area but coming to the realization based on number of larger firm rejection letter that I may not find a role. Where would you go from here if you were me? Was making good money at the midsize...
I took a new role in a digital transformation (IT consulting) boutique and I'm beyond confused on my first project. They know i do not understand this stuff, but aside from looking at these slides and google searching literally every client data request document, what can I do?
Mamas - what are the most creative solutions to schooling you have seen for next year as alternatives? Is there something your school districts are doing that you think is creative and unique? Are you hiring teachers and creating pods? Renting space? I have twins entering kindergarten. I trying to find them a bridge program to act as a kindergarten but also exploring other options. I do know that a virtual environment while I work 50-60 hour weeks is not the best solution!
I am looking to switch into an Associate (product development) role at McK from the current product engineering role at Square Inc. What is the interview process going to look like? Very different from generalist interviews? Does McK hire experienced folks throughout the year unlike generalist hiring?
So a coworker friend overheard our department head discussing the budget for our position. Safe to say we are both grossly underpaid—her a lot more than me (a man), but even the difference for me is quite large (10k). Any advice on how to proceed?
Anyone have insight into the culture at Adobe? specifically in a professional services standpoint. A good exit opp from a WLB standpoint? Seems like an awesome company.
SM’s - how easy or hard was it to exit into industry at Sr director or VP roles. Did you see a big jump in your Salary + Perks?
Do companies like amazon, Google or msft allow you to propose changes to offer letter terms or clauses like non compete? I’m wondering if I should review the offer letter with my attorney. If they aren’t flexible, I don’t want to spend $$. It’s for a senior tpm role if it matters.
I know M&A has a terrible rep, but if there’s anyone who enjoys it (or at least doesn’t completely hate it), could you please say what you like about the practice? Interviewing for an M&A position and really do want to love the job, at least for a year. FYI, I’m retooling from lit, and no, staying at my current firm isn’t an option.
what do you think is the most difficult type of role for an analyst to grasp without experience?
Anyone at Droga5 who can provide a referral?
Looking for some advice: I am extremely unhappy in my current role (literally just had a breakdown and cried for a good 30 minutes) and I want to leave. I’ve tried to switch groups internally to try something different but always receive pushback from my leadership. I haven’t been able to find a role externally yet and I’m not 100% sure what I really want to do for work. Any advice at all? I’m really stuck and not sure what to do.
What is the average salary of a Deloitte Human Capital consultant in the Northeast Region with 2 to 3 ratings?
Any tips for negotiating your severance for a non-partner role? Many good years at the firm—it’s just not working out of late and both me and my firm are looking to part ways.
I have a child who has been identified as a selective mute. Anyone have experience with this?
Applying for a couple of things and randomly decided to google myself to see what recruiters might see. Had helped a friend out way way back with a school project and came across her blog post about it on her personal website in which she says the reason she asked me to help is because she trusted my opinion since I am a “harsh critic.” I think she meant keen critic or that this was supposed to be a positive but to me, this reads as an insult (continued in comments)
I’m interviewing for a role that is open to both remote and in-office (when it’s safe) work. Should I give salary expectations based on cost of living in the city where the office is located or based on where I’d live working remotely? Cost of living in the office location is a lot higher than where I’d live but since they are also considering in-person candidates, I know the budget is there.
I have booked my h1b visa appointment in sept. Does my visa date effect due to travel ban until dec 31st . I am hoping I could get stamping done and enter US after travel ban gets lifted.
Anyone have any intel on these Wharton group interviews? How do they usually go, what are they looking for?
One of the best business lessons I ever got was from the Simpsons. Bill gates destroyed homers computer and Internet business and told him "you don't get rich writing lots of checks"
So I’m leaving for school out-of-state in two weeks. Today I was invited to a friend’s vacation home with a small group next weekend. Should I go? I’m conflicted because my school recommends I quarantine for two weeks before coming to campus.
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
I've come to realize that I spend a lot of time sitting cross legged when I work and the home office chair I have is too narrow to accommodate. Anyone have a great home chair that works for crossed legged sitting?
Is it worth doing the bank bonus churn? Seems like a pain to keep switching direct deposits, but seems a good way to make an ok amt of cash at least for a yr.
Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.
How do people in industry get promoted so fast? I have friends at fortune 500s who get promoted once a year or even less. Even my younger cousin just graduated last year, and at 8 months got promoted to “customer success manager” whereas in Big 4 I’ll be in my late 20s by manager

Someone mentioned that if you open a blue cash preferred, Amex would utilize the date you open your corporate card rather than the date you opened the new card. Anyone confirm? Also is it worth it?
Assuming that people try to get into consulting early in their careers because of the year on year salary growth (partnership is harder to quantify) compared to industry (CONTINUED)
