Not sure about the office culture at any of the firms in Texas, but Austin is super gay-friendly.
Why would you want to transfer to Texas? The governor is a racist, homphobe, bigot who believes nobody except straight white cisgender neurotypicals should be in power.
Houston is gay friendly too. Great client mix
Thanks all! I’m in audit and mostly interested in Dallas but open to all. Fell in when visiting for the cotton bowl last year. I come from a smaller office which isn’t liberal at all so I can handle anything but don’t want to be put into something totally uncomfortable. Didn’t think it could be but thought it’s worth asking! Thanks for the input!!

How is the culture in Washington metro area?
The big cities in Texas are relatively liberal like all big cities. But of course less so than a Seattle or San Francisco. Can’t really speak to workload etc. - depends on office and group.
@OP- I've worked in Dallas and Austin. Need more specifics here, i.e., what LoS? EY audit client load in Austin can require a lot of travel, same with Houston, whereas Dallas travels within DFW. Tax in both works from the office.
The firm isn't your issue. It's whether the troglodytes you're asking support for are tolerant.
EY Houston audit has a strong enough Houston client base to where you won’t have to travel for a client. There are a few clients that you travel for but you can be placed on a travel client or not depending on your preference
Houston is cool!
@GS1 I assume you meant Washington DC? Very, very liberal.
