The Sheraton is nice. The Westin is okay - but it’s in a good location for kids. (Water tower place is right there). The Gwen is also nice and located at the river end of Michigan Ave

W lakeshore is nice. The J-Dubs in the loop is good too. What else do you plan to do in town?

helpful

Thanks folks! I liked the looks of the Gwen and might go there. I wanted to figure out location first, then activities. Might take them to the water tower place and visit every store there :) My goal is to get them tired - the wife’s getting the weekend away for Mother’s Day and I wanted to keep the kids distracted as long as I can 🤣

OP. I’ve never been, but I can imagine the Children’s Museum on Navy Pier would be great. The Shedd aquarium is also amazing

Second on both the Children’s Museum and The Shedd. Marisol in the Museum of Contemporary Art is our go to kid friendly spot for really good brunch.

Can someone walk me through the Do's and Don't's of AA miles? I think they're a joke.

I have 65k miles and I could only pay for a one-way ticket from PHX-JFK. I had to book 1 leg with miles and the 1 with cash, but booking the other leg in cash was about 80% of the round trip in cash.

My mom has 12k miles that expire soon, transferring them would cost me $450. I can pay for a round trip with that cash but I can only pay for a trip to my kitchen with those 12k miles.

What am I doing wrong? 😂

A) offer to drive him to the airport that’s about .5 miles away (5 minute drive)

B) tell him to order an Uber since you know his work would pay for it

C) tell him to not be lazy and walk half a mile to the nearest public transportation stop, with all that luggage, and take public transit
