Hi! So I received an email from the EY lawyers. They said they have received the notice of approval of my PERM labor certification (ETA form 9089) from the US DOL. And that my priority date is 11/6/2021 in a EB2 visa category. They also told me they submitted my I-140 petition to the USCIS. I just wanted to know how much longer it will take to get my green card. I asked when they will submit the I-485 application and they told me I need to wait to make manager (October 2021)
Those who have chase sapphire preferred - is it worth it? Also, Amex gold or Chase sapphire preferred. Thanks!

Looking at re-financing my mortgage with 2 lenders and need some advice please! Currently sitting at 3.625% on a $512,000 home loan that now sits at about $490,000. Lender 1: loan for ~$490,000, paying down for a few points to 2.875% (apr 3.034%); cash to close $12,344, monthly payments reduced by ~$300 Lender 2: loan for $510,000 (bundling in some closing costs), paying for points to 2.99% (apr 3.278%); cash to close $7,315, monthly payments also reduced by ~$300 Which option is better??

Could use some structural layout help for a deliverable: Creating a one-page report that reflects a product offering, its benefits, and its significance (the ‘so what’) - currently only having multiple bullet points for each as the content, but think it’s not suitable aesthetically for a presentation. Any suggestions for how I should best format it for exec management? This isn’t a PPT.
How do you expense room service for a meal? It seems like it would just increase the hotel bill in the expense buffer.
AA is looking for a third aircraft for us tonight, first two had mechanical issues. Looks like I might not need my hotel tonight we’re so delayed. How many points?

People who came to the US on L1B, and successfully switched jobs (assuming visa switch from L1B to H1B), could you please share your experience or provide any useful tips? Feeling stagnant and trapped at my current job partly due to visa restrictions and ofcourse the pandemic situation. Looking to jump ship but not even sure if it's possible on an L1B.

Completely bombed an interview yesterday, and I’m ok with that. I realized how wildly unprepared I was and how I can make it better for the next ones I have lined up! It’s ok to fail and learn from mistakes. Also my kids were running around in the background so hopefully that wasn’t the reason 🤣

Being promoted to a direct manager of my previous peers after a relatively short time. Any advice on team building and maintaining a strong culture with these changes?
I used to be passionate about my firm’s people. Loved coaching junior folks and paying it forward with all the great mentoring I received early in my career. But my firm’s values and senior leadership priorities have incentivized a purely numbers vs people culture. It’s made the job so much less fun and personally fulfilling. Anyone also struggling with this and any advice?

Can anyone recommend how to get into mining with current shortages of graphic cards? Want to set up something for my parents as thy are getting older and I am afraid Gov benefits will be erased...
Just interviewed for this job that sounds superficially good but I think will take me back to the work I did 10 years ago but will pay my target salary and will have a fancy title (VP). I don't really want to do this but I need a job, have run out of UI and don't want to deplete my savings to nothing waiting for the perfect job. If offered, should I take it and continue looking or will it look bad? Changed jobs within 1 year once already. At least this job would be spinnable for what I want.
I’m considering starting a side business(non accounting/tax etc). ppl in the firm might potentially be my target client group. Is it against any firm policy to reach out to ppl in the firm as client?
