Developed carpal tunnel in law school and I think it’s affecting my weight lifting. I wear lifting gloves to help with my grip (and sweaty palms) but even with those, I still find myself struggling to not drop the bar/dumbbell after holding onto it for more than 10-15 seconds, even when the weight isn’t very heavy. My trainer says I also have knots in my wrists and palms and even when he’s massaged them out, I still struggle with this. Any tips on how to fix it? Should I try wrist straps?

Tomorrow they are requiring masks again and I was almost in tears when I found out. We have been mask free (recommended) since June and I feel like we are being muzzled again. I am vaccinated, frustrated, and have been off of antidepressants since March. I don’t even want to go into work tomorrow. Anything is better than being virtual and I am trying to look at the bright side, but moving backward still burns. We have parent-teacher conferences coming up and I am hoping that it’s temporary.

I'm an alcoholic. Just not the usual way. I never need during the day. Instead I down 3-4 large shots before bed to basically black out. Every night. Now my doctor is talking about fatty liver, high creatinine levels, and heart disease. It should all scare me, but it doesn't. I'm unemployed, in over my head in debt, and over 50 in advertising. I have a long term partner, but no children. What is the breaking point? What will make me stop?

How much vegetables do you all manage to consume a week? I realized my weekly intake maybe low, but I can't really think of ways to increase it. I usually end up consuming a pound of spinach, 1 broccoli, 3-4 carrots, and maybe 200 grams of other vegetables. Plus tomatoes and onions as base for curries.
This seems pretty low, but can't really think of ways to increase my intake with a predominantly Indian diet.

I went to a psychologist and answered an ADHD questionnaire, basically scoring the highest possible score for ADHD. Long story short: the psych told me that since I made it through law school with a decent/good GPA l don’t have ADHD.

Has anyone been told this? I.e., that since you’re a “professional” and have had good grades you don’t have ADHD? I just feel it’s a bit unfair since I had to work myself to the bone just to stay focused and understand the material.

I’m thinking of treating myself to a watch to celebrate some recent successes, and have narrowed it down to either a Datejust 36 with the blue sunburst dial and stick markers or a white dial Daytona. A friend of mine, who is something of a whale, can get me the Daytona at list with no issues. However, I’m concerned the Daytona makes too much of a statement and will bring unwanted attention in a way the DJ would not. What are your thoughts?

Looking for insight into Axiom by Syntellis Performance. A recruiter reached out to me for a software implementation specialist role (remote position) and I am interested to hear feedback about them.
