Hello fishes,
I have recently joined Accenture and have experience in working with DSP/Syniti ADM data migration tool for the past 3.5 years. Now I am thinking if I can continue working on the same tool or if I can move to SAP BODS (not yet assigned to any proj and didn't receive any training on bods yet)
Which ETL tool is better in terms of growth, pay, demand and scope? Pls pour in your suggestions. TIA

You’re an SM at 29?! Congrats on that. Average age for most places is 28-29 so you would be a little older but not by much, besides who cares. If age really bothers you, there’s EMBA’s
That makes sense. I have similar experience and want to pivot. Been working on my pitch for a while so my plan is to try for an internal transfer into Strategy until I get accepted for MBA. That way I’ll have more to show on what my future course should be like. Keep us posted on your journey, I am rooting for you!

Lol if 29 is too old then I’m applying for 2021 Fall and I’d be 31. I keep hearing that age by itself isn’t as an issue as the adcom just wants to make sure you’ll be able to fit in with rest of the class.
Also 2nd above...SM at 29 is awesome. Would’ve loved to work with you. Pretty sure I would’ve learned a lot.

No YOU’re kind to not say “glad to know there are applicants who are older than me” :) I appreciate it very much. Best of luck to you!
Not at all. Look at how much you’ve achieved staying out of school (SM at 29 with a Masters from an Ivy League 🤯)- your profile speaks for itself. It’s a lot stronger than where a lot of strong M7 students would’ve been at your age. What matters to b-schools isn’t age but what you’ve achieved in the time before attending b-school. Age should be a concern for those applying 8 years out of school with no progress in career/ professional profile, social impact, etc.
I do agree with most comments here though that EMBA might benefit you more than the traditional path given your accomplishments/ career progress etc.
Thanks, EY1 for the kind words. I hope the admissions officer has the same thoughts lol! I really hope my Masters counts, worked hard for that 3.8 GPA.
I have mixed feelings re: EMBA mostly because it might be a great tool to help me progress in my current role but not make a dramatic transition to a new field like Strategy or Ops. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
I’m 35 applying to Stanford 🤣 idc about this age that’s so wrong to limit.
There you go. Why can’t I dm you 🤷🏽♂️
I don’t think age is an issue, just don’t do it only career wise because your career move (eg transitioning to MBB) might require some loss in seniority
Yeah I know. I’m already having to negotiate my title for an internal transfer at EY so if I love what I’m doing, I’m sure it’ll be worth it.
If I were you I’d hit partner at my firm by 35 and then lateral to mbb. You’re already a SM. Might as well stay a few years and get that bread
I could do that but the problem is that my job doesn’t motivate me enough to keep hustling. And plus, it’s going to get that much difficult for me to transition since I will be termed an “expert” in the field 🥺
