Hello (= I am very close (fingers crossed) to receiving a job offer in the bay. It’s for a management role (dental clinic) for a start up company but from what I can see, their pay is going to be less than what I was anticipating - any advice on salary negotiations? Cost of living in SF is now the highest in the nation and id love to make the move, but only if it fits financially. All feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? I’m in-house at a publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I am interviewing for a new IT Manager position. I started putting out soft feelers and then hit the hunt harder. The problem: I have one offer and need to give an answer by next Wednesday. I have two other opportunities that are in final steps but probably won’t have offers by next Wednesday. Both of the other offers will be higher pay but clearly are uncertain for offers. Do I accept the offer I have, which is a good one or wait for the other two to finalize and possibly miss out altogether?

We all know- SIP of 50k/pm for 15 years at a CAGR of 12% p.a. grows to 2.52 Crs ( approx.). BUT

Do you know- If we delay it by just 2 years- the value falls to 1.88 Cr ( approx.) Difference is a WHOPPING 64 LACS, though the difference in Investment amount is only 12 lacs!!

I have an offer from a company where my salary is 30% higher than my current place, and the benefits are great. I'm pretty happy with the overall package , only negative is my 4 weeks vacation will turn into 3. They've already said no to matching my 4 weeks.

About 6 months ago I began a paid internship as an electrical engineer. They recently gave me a notice that my internship ends at the end of August.
