Welcome to Biomedical Engineers . Unsung heros of healthcare sector who maintain best quality of instrumnet equipment analyzer for better treatment of patients.
Ladies, I need… perspective. Last night, my husband essentially asked me to “get fit” for him and to do “beauty and maintenance things” with him in mind and not only for me. For reference, im 5’3 145-150 lbs (size 4-6?) and admittedly, I have gained the pandemic 20 since this started like 1.5 years ago. It hurt to have this man essentially say, you need to look better for me. Am I wrong here? Do I just not see that he’s right and I should be doing these things for him?
Funny question about life insurance. Our firm REQUIRES life insurance for partners, and I’m fine with it. But a new Muslim partner has an issue and is uncomfortable based on his deeply held beliefs. The insurer says they require 100% partner participation for our deal, but I’m sure other firms have figured out exceptions for their religious Islamic partners. Anyone have experience with this before i just scream at them?
Anyone exit from Healthcare Consulting to Oscar Health (health insurance startup), or just work at Oscar Health that can chime in on their experience there (e.g, culture, talent engine, growth opportunities, overall satisfaction?) Many thanks in advance!
For folks joining Google from McKinsey - Were you able to keep McK insurance for three months after joining Google? Which insurance plan do most people go for at Google? In my 30s, planning for kids soon. Would like to keep therapy weekly.
US Navy peeps. I’m prior service (enlisted, SF) looking to commission in the US Navy Reserves. Currently a M7 PhD stiudent (healthcare-business focus, quantitative field, obviously used to be a consultant). Any fields you recommend I look at or suggest I avoid? Was thinking Public Affairs and Intel, but honestly open to diversifying.
Do I need to level down to get into tech? Currently SM in big healthcare analytics/ product. Want to pivot but struggling to get callbacks from strong companies with the exception of IC roles.
My firm is evaluating CM programs/models to adopt as standard, getting some folks trained and certified and creating an ongoing internal training model. I’ve always perceived that Prosci is the gold standard. What other options should we be considering? Our focus is on the healthcare provider space. Thank you!
Hello - not sure if there are any local Boston UX/Product Designers interested in contract work with a boutique Digital Transformation agency but we are recruiting for 2 open roles contract to hire. This agency is in downtown Boston by North Station and looking for people that can create end to end and have a unique interest in UX plus healthcare mobile work. They are seeking local candidates only who can come in 3 days per week to work with their existing team of 10. Happy to tell you more.
Do any of you have earthquake insurance as part of renters insurance? It increases the cost of renters insurance by like 30%, so it is hard to tell if it is a gouge or if there is a bigger risk than I appreciate. I am new to the area and have never experienced an earthquake, but I doubt another 1906 is likely in the next few years.
Hey Folks, How does the tax thing work on the ADP portal? I declared my tax submissions for PPF, HRA and life insurance. But still the tax of around 5k got deducted from this month's salary. If I didn't declare then more tax would have deducted or the declaration wasn't considered? Can someone please guide on this and tell the proper ways of saving the tax deduction? It would be really helpful!
Deloitte Canada Toronto or Vancouver - analyst or junior consultant level - are they still doing case study interview round during hiring ? For the Healthcare industry solutions department... I'm primarily from clinical background so it is the only round that's giving me stress. Any advice/info would be appreciated 👍🏻
I have a pretty high baseline level of anxiety, particularly regarding health, and this whole coronavirus thing is really freaking me out! Anyone have any coping tips? Comforting activities?
Relocating to the UK and would like some advice on NHS.. How effective is it? Is it reliable, or do people (obvs who can afford it) opt for private healthcare insurance? Context - My medical needs are above average with two chronic conditions requiring frequent specialist appointments TIA :)
I finished a Health Law LL.M. last May and haven't done anything with it thus far. I'm in insurance defense primarily (Liability, UM, UIM) and just got the LL.M. because I still had GI Bill to use or lose. Any suggestions on how I can create/build a book of business as outside counsel using the degree? Thanks in advance.
Anyone in Miami know a good place to get a vintage Rolex appraisal for insurance purposes? Is it possible to get it appraised the same day?
I want to take a sabbatical. No one else at my firm has taken one - even our attorneys who have had kids are usually back the week after, our female lawyers who have kids typically take a month to six weeks but it is unpaid. I’m a partner, I know it will be without pay, and I really need some mental health time without email/deadlines. I have thought about leaving the firm but would prefer to recharge if possible. Is this a bad idea?
I feel so depressed whenever I think about my job. I’m not sure if this is mental health, lack or resilience, or normal things most people deal with everyday. How do you know the difference?
I crashed into someone’s car and she chased after me, then screamed at me. I gave her my insurance and she left without saying goodbye. She works as a legal assistant. Any advice?

Has anyone successfully managed to get rid of lower back pain whilst working from home? I’ve invested in a decent ergonomic chair, try and sit with good posture and have a standing desk which I use for c.1 hour per day. Any other tips?
After Delta delayed my flight I negotiated with them 15,000 miles as compensation for their mistake...
How many days of work have people missed with covid? Second day so far and I feel like death
For Deloitte, they cut the Adopt-An-Alumni and Culture Cash budgets. Anyone else nervous about their job security??
I just asked my wife at what age I should stop buying her jewelry because we'll be close to death and there won't be enough time to get enough value to justify the price. She wasn't nearly as amused as I was😂😂
Where does everyone find flight deals? #flex💪
Hello! 🐠s working here in the US on visa: how’s the LCA process lately? Is it taking 2 +months to complete or much faster now?Asking because I’m going to start a project that requires being onsite. Thanks!
At what age did you buy your first home? How much was it compared to your net worth/or salary?
Tips for declining but not really declining a project? Think I may have committed career suicide already...
I’m a new associate at BCG - started two weeks ago and I have no how idea if im doing well or not. I did a first informal feedback session last week and they told me I need to improve on slide making. Is this normal? I have a 6 months probation and I want to make sure I’m in a good position to pass. Am I being too nervous too soon?
What are some of your favorite movies or series that center around the office/business/consulting? For me: Wolf of Wall Street, Office Space, The Office (of course) and a few episodes of House of Lies.
I have an offer from KPMG, and I am in talks with collabera, they are offering about 35% hike which will be 100% hike from my current ctc, while KPMG offers 65% on my current ctc. KPMG is a research and stakeholders management role and collabera offers strategy role including working direct with VP. I know the company is pretty small when company to KPMg, should I proceed with the interview?
