I'm moving out of my apartment and have a loveseat and a Exerpeutic bike that I won't be taking with me. They can be yours for free, but would require you to pick up from my apartment in Brooklyn - 5th floor walk-up. The loveseat was purchased 4 years ago, but was rarely sat on (I mainly used another couch). The Exerpeutic bike was purchased around the same time and was hardly used. Both items in good condition. DM me if you are interested.

Hey you guys! I have a question to ask about.
I recently put in my 2 weeks in for a new job that pay higher but I now want to be " PRN" here and not leave entirely because i actually dont mind the work that i do. I do feel stupid asking my boss if I can PRN instead though? OR who knows what he would say anyway, what do you think?

How do I ask for more vacation time? I’ve been at this firm 2 years and only get 10 vacation days a year. Days get increased in year 4 to 15 where they max out. I’m beyond burnt out because I don’t have the time I need to fully rehab my mental health. Any suggestions?

PSA to all associates: having been around the block, I hate to see the notion being sold that recruiters have information about positions that are not listed. When it comes to lateral associate recruiting between big law firms, the vast majority of firms post all their positions online. It makes simple economic sense because then they get more associates applying. The whole notion that recruiters even have deep connections to law firms is also usually garbage for associate recruiting. Continued.

What’s a normal signing bonus right now for a 4th year m&a associate. Amlaw 100 to amlaw 100 in a top US market.

How can I get an associate position for the 2020-2021 class? I completed my JD at a top tier university outside the US, and I am admitted to the NY bar. Currently living and working in NY.

Are signing bonuses a normal expectation? Are they generally available or only a possibility if they are included in the original offer? When should they not be requested?

Hello! Are any recruiters currently staffing any remote attorney roles? I’m open to temporary opportunities. Thank you!

What is the best way for a US-licensed attorney to lateral to a position in a big legal market in a different country, e.g. London?

Will those firms who have been successful managing through the pandemic and keeping people engaged and connected increase retention (crisis reveals character), particularly among the partner ranks leading to less lateral partner movement in 2021, or will the beginning of the post acute pandemic economy create more movement due to those who were dissatisfied pre pandemic and hunkered down this year?

Can I be competitive for legal librarian position without an MLIS? The posting does not require it, but says it’s preferred. I have 11 years of experience as a federal litigator, and the posting is for a state Supreme Court library. If I could be competitive, what are key topics to emphasize in my resume and cover letter?

I currently work for NYC and have 3 years substantive litigation experience. Looking into new opportunities. What’s out there?

Currently working in tax at a big 4 firm but want to pivot into tax at a big law firm, what are your recommendations in doing so? Also, I am not doing compliance my role is consultant based.

I have applied to an in-house position at a company I know uses outside recruiters. I interviewed with this company, through this outside recruiter, for another position about six months ago. The interviews were positive but I didn’t get an offer. This new listing is probably more of a fit for me. I submitted application and resume through company website. Is it appropriate to contact the outside recruiter to also express an interest? I really want this job and would be a perfect fit.
