Anyone here have experience/ thoughts on using shared ownership scheme to live alone in London?At a similar standard of living I’d struggle to get a full mortgage and personally, I’d find renting something at that standard too much of a sunk cost per month. Thoughts?

Pros and cons of paying off mortgage of rental property earlier? We have $149K on it and ~370K on primary residence. We have no other debt, and HHI is $300K. If we have another kid, we’ll estimate needing to purchase a bigger home for ~$850K. We have the liquidity now to pay off the mortgage of rental property but am afraid we’ll need that liquidity for down payment in a year. We have a buffer, but not enough to do both in 1-2 years.
