Has anyone here used a service to help you find a new job? I’m looking at one where they source and apply for jobs for me. They’ll also help me rework my resume, LinkedIn, and other materials, as well as interview coaching. I’ve been looking for a new position on my own with no luck for the past 6 months. The downside of this service is they charge a commission based on the salary for the job they place you in.

I absorbed my managers responsibilities and about half of another role five months ago. I asked for a promotion and a raise. Received a raise but it still does not bring me to market value for the entry-level role that I began with. I was told they cannot promote me due to “supply chain issues“ and directives to remain highly profitable not just moderately profitable. Meanwhile I have seen three men promote in the past few weeks as they are now working multiple roles including leader ship.

Typically for appointments (dentist, doctor), we make up the time outside of working hours. Would you A) block off the time on your calendar as an appointment and make up the 30 min outside of normal working hours
