Check out Faroe Islands, maybe Canary Islands. I'm looking at your budget as needing lodging, food and local transportation. I think you should expect meals to be around 40 per person/ per day, making 10 days 800, lodging can be tough, so I think $100 night is prob going to be the min, so 10 nights is $1000, but also keep in mind so many hidden taxes and fees on lodging. Local transportation depends where you are going.
Did you say what time of year? I also love road tripping in Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia. Amazing. Should be able to do that on $3000.
When we travel, lodging often provides breakfast. Lunch we would often go to the supermarket and just make a lunch on the go. And dinner out. We are not big drinkers, but maybe some wine at dinner.
Perú or Colombia, make sure the covid rules aren't too crazy still and go
Going to Medellin and bogota for a week this summer any must see/do’s?
Philippinessssss (specifically Palawan)!!! I will never understand why people haven't caught only this gem of country yet! But maybe that's a good thing.
Ps; I'm not Filipino or biases in any way towards the country. It really is just such an amazing and cheap place to travel to
Hit El Nido a while back. 💯 Flew in, hired a private boat tour, enjoyed the chill vibes and lived like a king. PI is where it’s at.
If no kids I would go to Kenya and see the great migration, happens in July, amazing experience !!
Excluding flight tickets (see post)….yes

Going to Spain in the summer. Your budget minus tickets would make for a fun vacation.
I’m from Spain, August is the best month in terms of partying and meeting new people, but you have to choose a coastal city as otherwise it will be too hot, plus in august all the country is on the beach and on holidays. The downside is that hotel prices on august are 150-200% higher than any other summer month, but from an us standpoint it should still be cheap. Definitely with that budget Spain is the place

Hotels are expensive this summer. If you want $3000 budget for 10 days that’s tight. $180/night + tax for hotel and $80/day for food and all activities for 2. If you do at AirBnB and cook your own meals or don’t eat in nicer restaurants you have more options. Places where it’s hot/not prime season you can get resort hotels. Austin, Vegas, Phoenix.
A usually get a nice lake house for about 1500 for the week via bnb.

Morocco. Round trip Flights can be circa 500. Just bought flights to Abidjan for 700 too.
What airline?
Greek island hopping. Stay a bit away from the really main tourist attractions and you’ll be able to stretch that $3000 by a lot and still find really nice accommodations.
Ex. Stay in Fira instead of Oia in Santorini.

Or, skip Santorini and Mykonos. Go next door to Naxos and Paros instead.
International or within the states?
I would suggest Canada since it’s huge, you can really maximize your trip with different sceneries (Toronto has a city vibe, Quebec has a French feel to it)
Or you can go somewhere in Europe like Spain and Italy for a week each
Rising Star
Caribbean islands. Pick your island
Dominican Republic
Plus 1 on DR
I just saw the other day a YouTube video on Rwanda. The country is transforming with development. Seems to be an interesting place to visit if you love nature and sure $ will give more value there
Thatch Caye in Belize!
Some South American countries with LCOL. Easily can live there for a month. If you want luxury $3000 can buy you all inclusive in Mexico/DR.
Taiwan! I was supposed to study abroad there and it got canceled but my proposed budget was very low.
My friend spent a whole semester there with $5k (not include flights & dorms) and didn’t hold back from eating/vacations
