You can use a roboadvisor like betterment and just set up recurring deposits for disciplined investment. Or you can do this with any major brokerage.

Why do you feel you need an advisor? How much of that is in 401k or IRA? Not saying you shouldn’t get an advisor but make sure you need one before you pay someone. Have you tried the free financial advisors that EY offers to employees? I would start there

We both maxed out 401k, The reason we are looking for advisor is for a disciplined investment. I did not know that EY provides one. Will check that out thanks.

Asking for a friend - anyone staying in a marriage just for the kid(s)?

It's not like the marriage is terrible or unhealthy, but they would take an out if not for having had the kids.

Anyone else experience this? I'm wondering how common this is.
