Don’t know about books - open T F Sa. All investment gains will be taxfree. Max your RRSP. Other than that, if you work a job nothing really you can do to maximize your after tax income and exude retirement. If you open an LLC & work as a contractor/independent consultant, you can save a lot in taxes

Hey family-Has anyone gone with a pediatrician who didn’t have hospital rights to do the exam at birth? Context: first baby, high risk pregnancy (blood pressure), in northern Dallas suburbs but delivering in Dallas proper; strongly prefer a doctor of the diaspora (my OB is black; we want our son to see black excellence all around), but those in the suburbs tend not to have rights in hospitals in Dallas proper

Hi Folks, Hope everyone is doing good and staying safe!!! I have given my interview on 28th May and hr discussion and documents upload was happened on 30th May. My company has given me a promotion without a raise. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Little background: Asked for promotion in late 2020 - was required to skill up, after skilling up, asked again about when I'll be promoted and was denied because there is no "vacancy" for it. Got my annual hike in Oct 2021 without the promotion. I asked HR last week again and got a random announcement email saying my promotion is w.e.f Oct 2021. ( and no raise for the newly promoted role).

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

Recent new hire here.. is there a way to see your specific level within your rank (e.g. senior 1 vs. senior 2)? Or is this something to ask HR? There wasn’t any indication during the hiring process unless it could be inferred by salary. Thanks!
