Now my supervisor wants me to provide the data. Said data is my handful of interviews at other companies (all of which were actually higher ranges than I’m asking at my current). how do I respond?

If I want to change practice areas, what is the smartest way to do this? Do I just apply to positions in the relevant practice area and talk about how my skills from my current practice area transfer?

Has anyone made the switch from corporate law to criminal law ? Feeling very unfulfilled as a corporate specialist in a big law firm and am thinking about pivoting to criminal pd work. Not concerned about finances at this point.

I don't think I have ever felt so stupid before. My firm recently hired someone who was barred in 2021. I was barred 2019. I took it as I was senior to him and tried to mentor him. Well the joke is on me. Because he worked for the govt for some years before becoming an attorney, they made him a SENIOR associate. He has 0 prior attorney experience. Yet he's a senior. I have no words.

Does anyone have any experience with NJ mini-COBRA for small businesses? Trying to find an answer to a few questions and coming up empty: (1) what are the penalties for failure to send continuation notice (federal COBRA is $100/day, but don’t see anything in NJ statute or case law); (2) if an employee is terminated for cause are they eligible and must they receive the continuation notice? What constitutes cause (as opposed to gross misconduct under Federal standard)?

How do you deal with burn out? Not quiting your job burnout more need a few days off. My last deals close next week and I'll be working every day and I plan to take the week of Christmas off but how do you push through when your burnt to a crisp?

Lately I’ve been waking up feeling like I don’t want to do anything. Feeling tired from lack of sleep/not great sleep and I feel like I’m behind on work, sometimes even when I’m not necessarily behind. Could be bc we have a baby and “down time” is no longer the same. Anyone ever feel like this? What made you feel better?
