Anyone know salary ranges for senior manager risk management at salesforce . And do they offer sign on bonuses Salesforce
Does anyone have any thoughts as to how Ascensus’ massive takeover of small, local TPAs will affect the industry long term?
Anyone works at PHD media grp? Any idea how much media planning manager makes in Toronto?
Looking for some advice on pricing out a freelance gig. I’ve never handled a job of this magnitude. Job entails brand identity for a neighborhood. Brand guidelines. Website design. Brand collateral - includes map, signage, brochure, social and display banners. Storyboards for animated banners. This is just phase 1. For the next phase they would want to hire me on a retainer for roughly 20hrs/month.
Any advice on this is much appreciated!
About a year ago I took a job closer to home (7.5miles). My previous position is about 50miles away, but I worked there for 11.5 years. I am really thinking about leaving and going back to my previous position. I absolutely HATE my job now. It gives me panic attacks thinking about it. I’ve had to change my anxiety meds and increase dose. Yes my old job is an hour away, but I was so much happier and less BS I had to deal with there. Do y’all think it’s a good idea to take a job with more commute?
Does anyone here own the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag? Curious about the durability and quality.
Background in client success/project management within the real estate & hotel tech space, how have those of you with similar backgrounds aligned your skills in new industries? Tired of being in non recession proof industries, and looking to make the jump elsewhere.
For people who have freelanced before and during the time you had several full-time jobs, do you show the freelancing as one interrupted time block on your resume, or do you break it up? For example, do you say Job 2018-2020, then Freelance 2014-2020, then Job 2015-2017?
Anyone joining or has joined LTI Delhi recently.
If yes how is your experience about project allocation WLB and job security.

Been with my current company for 7 months. Spent 1.5 years with previous company before relocation. Currently interviewing elsewhere because I don’t love my current position and company politics. The only issue is, in about 8mos. my wife and I are planning on traveling out west as she is a Nurse and wants to take advantage of travel nursing contracts. I’m curious how screwed I will be if my next company does not want me to be remote and I’ll be forced to find a new job. Want to avoid jobhop
As independence is heavily scrutinized in audit (and tax/advisory), what types of sidegigs have you seen Big4 firms approve? KPMG uses an example of “teaching a fitness class” in the annual independence confirmation as to what all requires approval (basically any and everything). I’ve dabbled in wedding planning. Is this likely to be approved? Exactly what all information does the firm ask you when you’re seeking approval for a side gig?
Agency leaders my question for you is simple, what’s yo target metric for utilization of talent at your org? Talent being designer / developers / creatives.
What kind of projects do you work in ERM?
When do we get home, does any one aware of it?, till now no communication received from my manager, its almost August month also being completing Mphasis
this is perhaps a DC/Tysons office specific question, but does anyone expense the $30-$40 tolls on I-66 everyday? as opposed to taking the parkway?
Is it okay to fall for someone at ZS again and again even though when you are rejected by her in the past🙂

I’m a first year associate. I don’t feel like I’ve been tasked with enough work whereas other associates who’ve been at the firm slightly longer are swamped with work. Any advice?
Tips for being mostly independent as a first/second year attorney? My firm is now expecting me to be effectively independent but I have a hard time being confident in my abilities and trusting my legal judgment. How did you stop doubting yourself and manage your work in a way that minimized need for oversight?
How would you handle salary negotiation?
Class of 21. Took a job at a small general service firm in a tertiary market ~6mos ago because I wanted hands-on experience quickly. Compensation is ~$60k, which felt a little low but considering the low COL and the fact that I hadn't even been admitted to the bar yet, not bad.
How/when should I negotiate for an increase in compensation? My instinct is to ask for a salary bump to $80k around the one year mark.
I enjoy the firm and the work.
Anyone have any stories where you thought you failed the bar exam but ended up passing? I’m a retaker anxiously waiting dc bar results. They’re out tomorrow.
I hear first year partner compensation is actually *lower* than senior associate comp. And you have to by in. Is this true in many firms?
Just a paralegal here trying to not dwell on the small things in life.
Recently got a 141 on my LSAT with no studying - I feel like a failure in life. Can someone please explain to me how good or bad my score may be? I re-take in January and if there is no resolution to this algorithm, I will just take my professor advise and lean towards public policy. Law is my passion but I don’t want to lead myself into an endless walk of shame ending where I am now. Any thoughts?
Thoughts on leaving a job due to poor management and communication? What level of oversight is normal in midlaw boutique litigation firms? I am a 4th year and starting to feel like I get zero feedback unless it's bad and am just left alone most of the time unless I harass the partner for some input. Then once he pays attention it's just beratement for not doing things the same way he would have. I need more experience with a partner who is present and available, am I being unreasonable?
Getting away ahead of myself here, but a college friend is now a CEO at a rapidly growing tech company (just raised $50m in VC funding) and he approached me about an in house role at his company. He told me interviewing would largely be a formality. Interview is to take place first week of January. Bonus gets paid in early February, meaning the soonest I would be able to leave is late February, meaning the soonest I could start is early March. This timing doesn’t work. Do I forgo the bonus?
What should I be giving my paralegal for Christmas? This is my first holiday season with any support staff so I’m unsure of the expectations.
First year family law associate..I only have 1160 billable hours done for the year (I’m including what I expect to bill in December as well). Given I only make $80,000 a year, is that reasonable? Or is that a super low number and should I expect to be fired soon 😂. My target billables is supposed to be 1680 a year. Also my hourly rate is only $109 because all we do is legal aid here.
Quasi hypothetical, and absolutely not trying to go political: if a (former) president is meeting with their lawyer and a Secret Service agent is present, does that breach confidentiality?
How long should it take to review and amend the seller’s disclosure letter? Is 6 hours too long? Bearing in mind it is being checked against the warranties in the purchase agreement and the info revealed via diligence.
How did you find the current firm you are at? I practice in NY and do personal injury/medical malpractice. The firm I work at is pretty small and I want to change firms but I am not sure where to go from here or how to commence the search
During Covid I was laid off, I took a job in compliance/ legal in house. However, I really am having trouble stomaching the pay cut. Anyway to get back to law firms?
Some legal advice would be helpful (I’m a transactional attorney). A friend’s cousin was charged with a crime 20 years ago and deported by the federal govt. He was also charged by the state at the time, but as he was deported, he could not appear for a state hearing and was apparently charged with failure to appear. Yesterday he tried traveling to Mexico and was put in a holding cell and denied entry to the country, in part due to the open warrant. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Can we start a thread of JD career resources for people looking to leave the law? I’ve worked in several firms in the last 10 years and am realizing this is not for me.
I’m a first year who just started this week. I’m about to turn in my first memo. We’re working from home so it’ll be over email. Maybe I’m over thinking it (I definitely am lol) but what should I say in the email!?
