Done! You clearly have mad skills. Some advice if you'd like it, the music is super generic I've heard it in a million videos. As you get more comfortable maybe do a voice over where you explain what you're doing. It's not always obvious to newbs. Very invested in your cooking channel already

Thank you so much! Really appreciate the feedback!

New to Toronto, moved to the west end of town/ just past - in Etobicoke. I celebrate my 40th a few days after NYE/NYD - would love some recommendations on moderately priced but nice ambiance restaurants for myself + husband, and my extended family. Everyone is scattered throughout (Hamilton, Barrie, Lyle, Newmarket, North York). Don’t want anything too fancy but don’t really know where or what is good and not downtown.

Any recommendations? (Open to GTA of course).

Just got an invite for some virtual presentation for Internal Audit. In the invite, the recruiter said my “background was vetted to fit for some of the current open roles”. I’ve applied two to 3 times for similar roles “technology auditor” in the last 2 months or so and never heard back. Does anybody have any insight on this virtual presentation? Is it really worth it to attend or is this just more for advertising?

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.

I just signed the offer letter from Absolutdata acquired by Infogain , and even before joining the company they sent me a welcome kit.
I am unsure of joining them in case I get a better counter offer, but I am a bit worried now since they already sent me a welcome kit. I am wondering what made them sure that I will join them and not any other company. Is it that after signing offer letter I cannot join other company?

Help me menu plan! Having another couple over on Friday for a little birthday celebration, so four people total. Not sure what to make/serve, could be as casual as charcuterie or an all-appetizer meal, or something more composed, plus cocktails. Only requirements are relatively low key to make, and hopefully not crazy expensive.
