Yes, LTI is nowhere near in comparison with De Shaw. Go for De Shaw with out a second thought
I can't comment on Author's post, as don't have enough experience, but if I may ask,

De Shaw is dream company for many in Hyderabad. You see real talent there.
De shaw, anyday
Standard of living will be much better in pune than hydrabad as newly married you should be considering that too. I am living in pune and lived in hydrabad for a short term duration too hence.
Thanks 👍🏻
De Shaw was the dream company for many of us in Hyderabad 10-15 years ago. Glad it's still going strong. :)
Hyd is a good place to live. The cost is comparatively less than bangalore or pune. Only bad thing is the weather, too hot
Only for a few months though.
De Shaw any day !
De Shaw is a much better option.
I suggest that you relocate to Hyderabad for at least two years and work there.
Even if you want to relocate to Pune later it would be easy considering you will have De Shaw in your resume and recruiters value that.
Thank You @stanley black and decker 1.
I am really confusing from last few days since I don't want to decline the offer of de shaw but there is a location constraint also.s being from gujarat preferring west locations.
This advice will really help me.
DeShaw anyday. It’s my dream company to be honest since last 7-8 years since I got to know about it. The WLB is awesome and LTI stands no where close to it. You can go for a domain change internally post 1-1.5 years . Its a tier-1 company which opens door to many top notch product companies in future.
Hope you make the right move ! 🍻
Thank You, willl definitely consider this.
After seeing such comments I fell I got lucky now to be selected in De Shaw. Initially when I got a call from recruiter I was ignoring it. 😄 Doesn't know about it, that this is such big and premium level company.
LTI is not at all good for long term. Growth is limited, standard 8-10% hike in every year (irrespective of promotion or ratings). Only good thing is some policy are employe friendly which doesn't matter if there is no growth
ohh I got 8% for first 2 years then 10% for next 2 years (including this cycle) and most of my colleagues in my project got around same hike but they are not going to give more than that even if you get promoted
