I have taught at 5 different schools yet only Henrico Co PS place a moderate value on Behavior intervention as a means of response to disruptive behavior, creating rapport , restorative circles and trauma informed care. Suspensions are not a long term deterrent to violence, bullying and resolving our children’s mental health issue. Are your school systems supporting consistent and prompt intervention policies?

Interview question: Is it inappropriate to ask how the company handled COVID during 2020-2021 (I'd say "peak" but lol the waves haven't stopped)? Is this best asked to HR or the hiring manager?

As per the trend in Current "Great Resignation" even big MNCs are facing offer rejections and it is very hard to onboard IT employees because everyone has multiple offers, Only those companies have some advantage who supported employees well in Covid period.
Employees were in fear of job lost, and maximum IT organization's took benefit of this fear, now they are only facing maximum offer rejections.

Thoughts on inside sales vs. outside sales? Companies seem to spend way more on outside sales (hunter) vs inside sales (farmer). Both roles are important but in my experience the inside team deals with the customers much more than the outside guys, yet are paid significantly less. From what I see most outside roles are 150k+ and inside is typically in the 50k range (depending on industry and location of course). Is this the norm for your industries?

Am I the only who finds the "preferred school" hiring strategy a bit racist? Some urban commuter schools/rural schools get knocked off the list due to their academic ranking and unfortunately, HBCUs are not always as affordable as an urban commuter school or rural schools.

Signs of societal change: Our freshmen write a letter to their future selves; they open them their senior year. My kids were finalizing this by putting them in envelopes, addressing them to themselves (just in case), and sealing them (much like a time capsule).
Barriers to completing this activity: 1. Folding the letters so they fit in the envelope. 2. Addressing an envelope. 3. Student: I can’t get the flap to stick!” Me: (pulling the paper strip from the adhesive)…”you don’t lick this kind.”

I’m really overweight but handling it by working out and eating better however I’m so frustrated that I feel like my dating life has to be on pause until a guy will even consider me worth a chance. And to be honest, I too would pass on a guy that was at the same level of overweight as I am so I get both sides of it. Fat ppl deserve love too!
