Pls help. Recently promoted to senior and have yet to pass any cpa exams. I’ve realized early on accounting isn’t for me so I didn’t want to further waste time/$ on more exams, and I’ve been looking for a new role for a while but no luck yet. I’ve avoided the cpa convo as much as I can with my pml, but I know it’s coming up again. Should I be honest that I’m no longer studying and looking for a new non-accounting role? They’re nice but we aren’t close, and I feel like I can’t BS this much longer

kpmg tax here. we have a senior associate that was a senior when i was interning with the firm like 5 years ago. i think it does not matter, some people are happy where they are and i think generally depending on the group they will be okay with it.

Can you tell me the salary range for senior tax? Thank you.

I’d go ahead and be honest with your plans( excluding looking for a new job) For you, I’d try to try to get another couple of years in big 4 so that you can get the best position possible without the cpa. I’m assuming you’re required to be a cpa at manager right?

like

yea it’s required at manager. I mean I’m guessing if I tell them I no longer want to pursue cpa and it’s required here, they’ll know I’m looking for a new role anyway right? Lol

Has anyone ever done this? I’m actually depressed and I really hate being given work now. I have ADHD. Please advise

I just came to realise
Deutsche Bank has a fixed rule of max 30 to 35 % hike on fixed component and remaining 10 to 15% variable i.e. total 50% max hike you can ask for no matter how good, skilled you are.

Is it true?

Hi all,
I had my technical round scheduled with Capgemini last week. This week I cleared the L1 interview round and HR discussion. Before releasing the offer letter they asked me to submit my documents and sent a link to appear for an AMCAT exam (English grammer and email writting) as part of hiring process . My question is based on AMCAT score is there a possibility that Capgemini would revoke my offer ? Is it an elimination round as they mentioned this a part of Capgemini hiring process?

Has anyone lateraled from big law into an in-house role at one of your firm’s clients? I feel like this happens quite a lot and curious how that process went (did you reach out to them, they to you, etc)? I’m in my second year and staffed on a large client & starting to develop a relationship which I’d like to maintain. I’m thinking about hanging in here for another year or two but then starting to look to lateral. Would love to work for this company if a position is available at that time.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

Question for moms. I’m getting married next year and have several close family members that will have babies ages 8-11 months old by then. What are some ways I can support the moms and make it an enjoyable experience for them? We have a separate room at the venue that I was thinking could be offered to the parents to use, or potentially hiring a babysitter for them (either at the venue or back at the hotel). I would love for the families to be able to come, as it is out of town.
