I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

Ladies do you travel with pointed toe shoes?
If you don't care too much about being paid more then it's not worth it. How I personally see it is, I'd rather work crazy hours now and rack up that dough/experience and then move to a job where I have more WLB when it's time for kids, marriage etc. Life only gets harder and other things become priority. If you have the time (and desire) to be in a career that's more demanding and pays more, why not go for it? You can always go back if you hate it.
Good luck! You got this.
You can use your free time now to do some side business. I personally would not trade wlb for the golden handcuffs if you don’t need the money
I understand why some people rather work for big corps than for themselves but like I said it’s my own opinion. Everyone would be different 🙂
I agree with the first comment. Put in the hours/work now before marriage and kids come into picture. If you’re up for adventure and ok with some instability for a little, than relocating is the easiest now before you have any major personal commitments.
I don’t think anyone can answer that question except you. What would make you happiest getting out of bed in the morning?
You have the rest of your career to make more money. Enjoy your life.
How much do you get paid and how many YOE do you have?
This is also something I've been considering (low 20's and married, no kids though).
At the end of the day for me i found money wasn't the ultimate goal of mine, rather it was the passions/how i use my skills. Although when I start thinking about kids my mind veers to the money aspect. Granted, for where I am in life and my experience, we are paid quite well.
As others have stated, if you have the time and the energy to pursue bigger and better, there's no harm in doing so. Some other words of wisdom that I've received many a time is money itself will never be satisfying enough. Set a goal. Where do you want to be X years from now? Goals change as years go on and that's also okay.
I think the best thing you could possibly do is not only just search for something that would pay well for where you're at, but something that would stretch your skill set and inspire you to work each day. For me it would be research, for you it may be something else entirely
