Positive phone calls are always more effective than negative ones. I find that this is such a great way to quickly build strong relationships with students and families.

My dog lives with me in my apt with a 30 inch crate, he’ll be with my mother for a month. Her house is much bigger than my apt, is it bad to order a larger crate for there? Will he come back and be squished?

I recently took up a Customer Success Manger role at a engineering software company. Previously I was a Project Manager at the same company but wanted to move out of my engineering services role. I primarily took this role hoping to get exposure to providing SaaS services as company is transitioning at software cloud. My long term goal is to move into tech as my current customers are mostly in O&G. Is customer success a good entry point go get into one for the big tech companies?

Hi Fishes,
I have completed 1.5 decades in my first job in a biopharma company. Though I didn’t change, I got a good growth in terms of position and also learning.
Now I am looking to switch. I am from manufacturing operations with a Masters in Biochemistry. I have also done Organisational Excellence certification from ASQ and have a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course completion certification. My forte is continuous improvement projects. I am looking for opportunities in this field. Help plz.

I visited a friends that has a 1 year old baby. She asked me if I wanted to get a dog, and then asked me if I wanted to get a plant 😂. She said it was a good way to start carrying for something else and get experience for the future. I think this is hillarious I don’t see how a dog or a plant will fulfill my life. 😂

Is there such thing as a 9-5 job in comms? Mid-senior approx 15 years experience. Feeling burnt out and wanderlusty after a career at a large agency. Do options for balance exist? Not necessarily looking for company names (though, sure toss them out!), but more so paths people have tried I might not be thinking of. Thanks!

I just recently resigned my teaching position for a position in another state to be closer to family. I will be making a lot less money (about 1/2 as much). Am I crazy to give up a high paying teaching position that took me 12 years to get to on the pay scale or is being closer to my family worth the pay cut? Anybody ever found themselves in a similar situation? I gave up tenure too. Honestly, I wasn’t happy living in my home town making the most money I've made. I guess it’s a leap of faith!
