My project goes live Nov 9th but I have accepted a new job. When do I put my two weeks in? I have been with this client for > 1.5 years. My gut says give notice Oct 15th but stay through Go Live week. I don’t want to jeopardize my utilization at my new firm. New firm supports pushing start date but obviously prefers an earlier start date.
I got laid off with no warning. Reason given was my utilization was low at 81.8%. No performance problems. Would it be inappropriate for me to apply back to PwC to the teams I discussed rolling onto?

Any other Deloitte folks get screwed in their year end rating because of low utilization since there were so few projects to be had earlier this year? Manager openly said it was "beyond my control".
Are others seeing their work slow down? It’s been a pretty dramatic halt for me. I thought maybe it was a me problem, but others in my group admitted they are also slow. I’ve been consistently 110-120% utilized, but I’ve only billed 22 hours this month. I’m in fund formation.
Curious as to how people utilize their experience managers/resource managers...are they helpful in getting staffed/managing utilization?

On a project where the senior associate doesn't pass anything on to me to do. I am completely out of the loop and have nothing to do while the SA is doing everything. What should I do? I would chill but I need the utilization to get a good bonus
Why does Deloitte penalize its employees for paid time off? Is it fair that the denominator of our utilization doesn't account for PTO?

Can we create a culture that recognizes that consuming alcohol results in your body producing acetaldehyde which is a known carcinogen? Not saying that people should not be drinking, but there should be more education about it. Just like how every smoker is aware of what it does to your health. People generally know that drinking heavily isn’t good for you, but most people I come across don’t realize that your body produces carcinogen while processing alcohol.

Are there any tests you can get done to understand your fertility? I have PCOS and cannot start trying until next year or two. I would like to know if there will be any issues with conceiving due to my PCOS. I’m 29 right now. I asked my OBGYN and she said that unless I start trying, there’s not much in terms of testing she can do and that she wouldn’t recommend it. Has anyone ever gotten any fertility tests done to understand if you’ll have future issues?

Is Capgemini Invent better than Capgemini ?
Can anyone elaborate the pros and cons of both Capgemini Invent or PwC?
WSB literally saved GME, it’s pretty nuts. So for those that made $$ congrats but it’s just luck, you ain’t a genius. And to all the novice investors on this bowl, GME is as big as an anomaly that can exist in the market. Don’t follow stocks blindly like this as you can be burned bad.
What’s wild about GME’s current valuation is that they can just issue equity and payoff all their debt now (recall this company was almost filing for bankruptcy)...
When the person in front of you boarding the bus insists on inserting dollars into the machine #bitchloadyourcard #getwiththetimes 🙄
Anyone has information on how much first year lawyers make in big immigration law firms like Fragomen? Does it make a difference if you had prior experience in the field as a paralegal?

I have a lot of experience in tech (MarTech, Data, System Design… no coding experience though), marketing and customer strategy, analytics, product management, process and op model… but I don’t have any speciality or niche. Person on team call just asked us if we remembered factoring and then asked for the factors of 10. Awkward silence ensued 😐 *facepalm*
I did it. Expect some more difficult questions during the presentation, but demonstrate that you are on track for a 1/2 next year leading up to it and rally your office support and you'll still have a good chance
Has anyone heard of someone doing GSAP with a 3 in their final year though?
Yeah, don't do it. 3s will make it really hard if not impossible to get gsap.

Definitely worth still applying.

Thank you D5!
