As mentioned by others, Rosemary is great for hair loss. My niece experienced alopecia a couple of years back and our family did a lot of researching and consultations. Rosemary mixed with Shea butter and a few other oils (e.g., peppermint; lavender; jojoba) worked really well. Her dermatologist also prescribed an acid that is now applied once a week. Her hair has since grown back, with the exception of a few hidden small spots.

Made it. There were quite a few good sites her grandmother(my mom) reference. She did have to use a mixer (she used a cake mixer).

I know it is not as easy as it sounds, but try and keep calm and don't let it stress you out. Stress can be a big contributor to hair loss, so worrying about it makes it worse. I had hair loss once after a major op and having to go on medication for a long term condition. But it grows back when your body recovers (your body knows that hair and nails are not essentials when there are other major issues going on that need your body's reserves!). Be kind to yourself and recover - your shiny locks will soon be back!

You’re doing all the right things. If you’re a woman maybe check your iron levels. Sorry you’re having continued issues - sudden hair loss is shocking. I’ve had in after each pregnancy and when really stressed.

Talked with your doctors? COVID-related hair loss probably isn’t acting on quite the same biochemical mechanisms as traditional hair loss.

You are correct! All of these DHT blockers I’m using isn’t (in my mind) going to stop the cause because the cause is not DHT. Doctors aren’t giving me any alternatives though. I’m frustrated!

I heard prp injections at the dermatologist can really help! I also like ouia's thin supplements! Sorry you're going through this, it'll self correct soon enough hopefully!

Yes! I actually will try this but I did come across a doctor speaking online today saying not to do pro until the shedding stops.

I know another case with similar symptoms. The vaccines can cause unexpected immune response in some recipients. Hair loss could be due to some immune response, in which case the answer may be different than using the OTC responses. Check with your doctor about it. In the case of other persons, the steroids therapy is helping to calm down the immune response. Check with your doctor.

This is also my concern. With the new delta variant I really want to get the vaccine but I’m worried it’s going to make me sick and lose even more hair. I’m very frustrated with doctors right now. They just look at me and go 🤷🏼‍♀️ sent me in for labs and no resolution.

If it’s an extreme amount then you need to see a doctor as something is not right with your health. The sooner the better imo. I’m sorry you’re going through this

Waiting on the blood work to come back from the 3rd doc that looked at me confused…. Modern medicine is not impressing me lately and my husband is also a doctor 🤦🏼‍♀️ You take my statement to your grave AVP1!!

Same thing happened to me. Keep taking the supplements, be super gentle brushing and washing, stop heat treatments and most importantly try to reduce stress. I know it’s near impossible these days but I found the higher my stress levels the more hair loss. Oh rinsing with rice water I heard helps too.

When I had covid, I started taking this multivitamin from Costco by nature’s lab. It smells super gross but I feel like it slowed my hair loss after a few days of taking it! Although, that may be because I had some sort of deficiency before.

This happened to my brother. I think he just took supplements. Eventually the shedding stopped and his hair grew back.

So I did a little bit of research on this: Have you considered stress as a factor? If so, stress wouldn’t respond to anything except lifestyle adjustments. Apparently a lot of people are experiencing hair loss post COVID due to stress.

like

Yes, this is the same type of hair loss that fall under stress/hospitalization/surgery/prolonged fever or illness. It’s called Telogen effluvium. Because this is related to Covid, I can undo Covid at this point.

Shave it off *if you are male

I’m a woman. I do think it looks 🥵 on some woman but I have this handy humpback donated by years of working at a laptop. Thanks a lot bad posture and Pwc! A shaved head just wouldn’t work out for me!

OP are you a man? Asking because I'm a man and this sounds scary.

I think hair loss is much worse for women than men. Bald men is a pretty common thing. While so much of our femininity is tied to our hair as women. Trully terrifying though of going bald as a woman

I don’t think doctors will help you. I’d see a naturopath - they are much better trained to handle symptoms like this.

Literally all I hear from Fox News zombies saying big pharma and Bill gates are pushing the vax for personal profits only and Covid is not that deadly. Has anyone gotten into arguments with family members over the science of COVID and taking the vaccine? I firmly believe that it ultimately is your decision whether to get vaccinated, but I’d also be remiss not to share why I think we should trust the science. Thoughts on timing baby number 2? The original plan was two kids less than 4 years apart; I was planning on trying this summer, but decided to delay because COVID. My daughter just turned 3, and I'm back and forth between just giving in and trying now so they're more closely spaced, or waiting until there's a vaccine even though they'll be further apart in age than I'd like. Thoughts? I'm 31 so biologically I'm not in a huge rush but I'm really starting to feel the baby fever.
