Currently in a full time role at an RPO but have a potential offer in house on a 6-9 month contract with strong possibility of conversion at Hubspot. Pay is $15k higher than I make now. Would it be a bad decision to take the contract / contract to hire? I don’t doubt my ability to get converted, but the entire market is seeing huge layoffs so it makes me a little nervous. Thoughts?

I am looking for ideas for a high school intervention class with students reading at PP-4th. I am a brand new teacher and have never taught intervention but we are extremely short staffed. I recently interviewed with VMWare and cleared all rounds. It was via a consulting firm. I got a confirmation that I am selected and HR will contact for offer discussion. However after sometime they called again and told me that HR has told that they will have offer discussion in January. Is it normal? Does it mean that they are looking for other potential candidates?
