A&M will be way better for short term TC potential, PEPI bonus could be over 100% of base in a good year, and your year 1 guarantee is the absolute floor because there is unlimited upside with the formula. Deloitte brand may help more if goal is industry corp dev at F500 because A&M is more private equity focused, but it probably doesn’t matter either way if doing MBA.
A&M3 - Yeah seems to be the general trend that not many people exit out of the group, probably a positive in both culture and pay.
Pepi is Consulting, M&A Advisory is Due Dillgence
Both great firms, but I'd definitely go with A&M. Not to mention their bonus structure is unlike any other firm, you can make bank with good utilization.
SM1 - M&A consulting could do either M&A CDD/strategy work or post-deal integration. M&A DD is pretty limited to the pre-deal financial due diligence

What's your background like? I'm trying to get into A&M PEPI from Deloitte M&A Consulting myself ... btw, I hope that answers your question
Haha that does help answer some, feel free to DM. If I take the offer, can drop that referral 😂
Deloitte Advisory (Deloitte & Touche) pay is also peanuts compared to Deloitte Consulting pay which is also peanuts, albeit a little more. A&M PEPI definitely wins out on that end.
For MBA/ExitOps Recruitment, recruiters outside of Deloitte rarely know the difference between Advisory and Consulting as they’re used interchangeably for the most part, but there is a definite distinction within Deloitte which you may or may not notice while you’re there. All that to say you’ll get the brand name of Deloitte during the recruitment process regardless of whether it’s aligned to Advisory or Consulting.
Yeah I don’t think most people know the difference, but probably more prominent name than A&M broadly. Thanks for the input, definitely will be something to consider
Damn, A&M is offering a higher BASE salary?… in the absolute worst case scenario your downside is better than the alternative, and your upside could be worth six figures. No brainer
Well B4 base salaries have gone up so much in the last year that A&M has to raise base salaries to recruit people.
PEPI for sure. Great group of people to work with as well!
Agree with A&M. Congratulations!
Any chance you can shed light on what your background is (e.g. YOE, type of firm you’re currently at, etc.)
DMed you
A&M no brainer
Agree A&M
If it's Deloitte Consulting M&A practice I would def do it! A&M is NOT Big 4 and does not have the same level of reputation even the level of capabilities worldwide and by function depth and breadth. It may pay a little less, but I would focus on the marathon not the sprint. Stay 3-4 years and then make a jump. PS I've audited A&M, nice people not throwing a rock at them or anything, but not at the same level (by far). It's up to you, but on the resume DC is top-notch and they have the most robust M&A practice out of all Big 4! Just think about it, they were the only Big 4 that didn't sell their consulting practice 10 years ago! Heard of Deloitte University?
Second all A&M3’s points. If you look through the Transaction Advisory bowl, there is a long list of posts echoing what he/she said. People don’t seem to go from A&M to Deloitte though
Wife is interviewing for a Manager role in PEPI. What’s the base/bonus look like?
What level?
I mean personally would’ve highlighted if I was a manager, since that would be a down level for both roles and impact decision
