Do your moral character certificates for a CPA application have to be notarized?

Have an offer from Guidehouse but my wife just took a job on the west coast. Do people telework there, or should I just turn down the offer? I can move to the new city with my current company.

I have 2 years of experience and now got selected in Accenture. I asked 8 to 8.5 LPA from them. Am I asking less?
My current salary is 4 LPA.

Im a third year associate and I’m frequently asked to give presentations (on new case law, legislation, ect.) during a weekly meeting for my section. There’s a first year associate and a law clerk in my section who are never asked to present. Should I push back on this? Would it look bad if I delegate some of the work to the others? I spend a lot of non billable time prepping for these presentations...it seems unfair that I’m the only one who has to do them.

Anyone at Meta willing to refer upon review of my resume?

Random thought, I haven't been sick since January. Kids have been clear too for the most part. Are people getting sick apart from covid? Pre-existing conditions, sick of work, life, family, yourself, etc. excluded...

I think our hospital food might be a source of COVID haha

I was a Full-charge Bookkeeper for 2.5yrs, and now I'm an AP Accountant I (about 3 months in) and have an undergrad degree in Accounting. I would like to know what roles and or companies I can apply for that have much higher pay, fully remote, and great benefits. Currently making less than 50k in FL! I feel trapped like a caterpillar, and I'm ready to burst and become a butterfly! Any advice?

Anyone attending the Boston Career Fair next Wednesday? Or can anyone share your experience? Thinking about going

Happy Wednesday! I am trying to plan with our AP and climate lead on what we can do in distance learning as a school wide event. I suggested we still host our multicultural club assemblies on zoom for the school. Anyone have experience with zoom assemblies to promote a positive climate in DL? Thanks!

Are recruiters like real estate agents as you can work with only one at a time? And they would be upset if you tell them you sent your resume to another one?

My glowing review, complete with the “it’s not a matter of ‘if’ you’ll make partner but ‘when’” line, resulted in a $4,000 salary increase. For the third year in a row.

I billed 200 more hours than last year and earned another certification. Now at $76k in a low to mid COL area. Top 25 firm.

Is it time to jump ship?

How much do you guys make each year giving out referrals?

Yes. We can all relate

To my D&T colleagues: I accidentally included the file check report in the archive...big deal or nah? Aka, tell the manager or fly under the radar.

Can anyone give me the 411 on workload for GPS consulting at KPMG/Deloitte. Is there a traditional busy season or is it more like a steady flow of work year round? How does it compare to assurance? WLB? Etc.

Id like to start working in recruiting as well as taxes at my firm. I’m just curious do big 4 increase your salary if you do get involved in recruiting as well or it wouldn’t make a difference in salary?

Hello, I am a Staff 2 in EY. My current salary is 26.5k EUR (I work in Italy) in apprenticeship. In March/September I should be promoted to Senior.

I just received a job offer for the transaction services financial due diligence division FDD of Mazars

They offered me a permanent contract with a salary of 31k EUR.

What do you think I should do? Wait until senior in EY or accept this offer?

My fear is that if i go to mazars they won't make me senior in a year and that my resume will lose appeal.

Can someone explain the tax benefits of an HSA to me like I’m five? Everyone seems to be on the same page with these and as a accountant I’m embarrassed I don’t get it

I just began my career as a Intermediate Accountant at a Law Firm, Salary 55k CAD.
Does anyone have any professional development advice ? I know CPA is on the table but I as wondering what else there could be to increase Salary, Skills and Abilities.

Does anyone have thoughts on leaving big 4 to work at a private wealth management firm? Have a CPA would consider getting CFP if it would help fit the requirements. Had someone reach out and haven’t done a ton of research yet just wanted to get some base level opinions.

Just received a verbal offer. IA position, 75k base, 10% signing bonus, 10% annual target bonus, fortune 250. Peace y'all. Not gonna bitch though-- needed to do my time here to get this job.

I had an Interview with Northern Trust; then, I had a verbal offer. After how long do they usually send the letter?

How is financial services tax in industry at the senior associate/manager level in terms of hours, stress, work-life balance?

EY will start the process of spliting up. How will this affect to audit, tax, consulting service and how does it affect to their reputation and their employees?

Any insight into the Aperio group for Investment Operations associate at BlackRock ? Have an interview and background is in audit and real estate fund accounting. Good comp, WLB, etc?

I left B4 as a senior and went to industry. Hated it and decided to take a job at top-10 firm after 2 years. The pay is on par with my industry job and the hours are a bit better than B4, but I’m thinking about jumping back to original firm or maybe a different B4. Any one else have a similar path? I hate how this will look on my resume and maybe feel a little like the grass is greener, but I think I have some good reasons.

One of my friends texted our group chat and it’s too funny 😂
