Potentially first Christmas alone with all the incoming restrictions. Getting pretty down at the thought. Any suggestions to make it more tolerable? The majority of my friend group has family in the city or is going home in spite of the risk.

Decorate. Plan a fabulous meal. Buy a great bottle of wine or learn a new recipe for a drink or mock tail. Make a playlist of your favorite songs. FaceTime with family.

OP, I will be in the same situation and it’s not my first year either. I plan to wake up, take my dog for a long walk, then make delicious breakfast, open presents, and watch Netflix or read. I usually save something I really want to watch/read so I’m really looking forward to it. Call family and friends, if you’re able.

I get sad once in a while, but you know it’s just a day. So many other things to be thankful for.

You all are right - it should feel as normal as it can possibly be. I love the idea of still buying presents, good food and prioritizing a quality read. Guess I’ll have to get a Christmas tree after all!

Hey OP. We ares going to do a virtual Christmas with some family. I have been trying to think of ways to make it special and am thinking of mailing everyone fun holiday hats so we can feel more connected. Maybe you can do something similar to make it special. It's going to be an odd holiday this year.

like

We were snowed in one Christmas and I read all the books on my shelf that I planned on getting to ‘someday’.

Order specialty Christmas dinner from restaurant, schedule videochats with loved ones, then have way too much fun with the adult eggnog. Maybe throw in a little karaoke for good measure.

After all that, sleep. That night sounds silly, but consultants almost never get good sleep. Your body will thank you for taking an actual break.

Hello everyone!
I am new here!
I have been applying for jobs since 3 months now.
I'm currently working as a Procurement Analyst with an experience of 2 years 9 months. I'm working on 2 projects, leading the team with PO creation to invoice processing to vendor management single handedly.
It would be great if someone here can help me with referrals.
I am actually looking forward to Amazon, Deloitte, E&Y, IBM since these companies are currently hiring for Procurement roles in huge numbers.

I’m currently doing a bootcamp to pivot from Marketing to becoming a UX/UI designer and I am anxious to just *be* proficient at using Figma. I know it’s the industry standard, but I don’t feel like I know how to use it at all since it’s such a new program to me and I don’t know where to really start to learn how to be an expert. Does anyone have a good source, YouTube, or site I can use to become a pro at it? I’m very passionate about switching fields and want to just feel confident at this.
