Hi fishes :) Need some suggestions from the PWC peeps. My directorial round with PWC is scheduled for tomorrow. Any suggestions please? What are the probable questions will be? I've asked for 12LPA but they said the budget is 9LPA..I've 6.5yrs of experience as a BA & scrum master (ctc : 6.55 LPA) What do you all suggest? Shall I consider pwc as It's a part of BIG 4 and other facilities and brand-value or capegemini/Cerner india (the pay scale will be higher most probably) Thanks in advance.
S3 here. Planning to move companies as my promotion this year looks unlikely. Can i pitch myself for a manager at another big 4? I have close to 9 years of experience and a masters
Almighty partner one, we know your identity will remain a secret, but can you reveal to your followers if you are in the MBB, big 4 or other?
What big 4 firm has the best wlb for risk?( i know theyre all not good but I know some are better than others)
I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
Am I making a mistake declining offers for Infrastructure Automation/SRE Ops roles in product companies and going for Backend development roles in mid-size service based/Big 4 companies?
I had my onsite 5 weeks ago, and recruiter reached out last week saying I cleared Hiring Committee, and that he’s waiting for VP approval before we move on to compensation talk. How long does the VP approval typically take? And what is the probability of rejection at this stage? Also, how many more review stages are there before I am made a written offer (assuming I clear VP approval)? Thanks!
Got verbal offer, want to educate myself on LTIs specifically restricted stock units. If the company says the compensation includes 50k RSUs, does that mean 50k granted each year, or a cumulative one-time amount that could be granted over several years? Or could it mean both without further information?
Divorced M 🐠 here who's scared of commitment now. For people looking for an LTR, how certain are you about someone b4 you decide to go exclusive? For e.g. 25% or 75% that he/she is the right person?
Any news on vedder price? I’ve heard they didn’t fire anyone during COVID but have also heard it’s a sweatshop. Any insight to their litigation team would be helpful, thanks!
Would appreciate feedback on this offer. Just got promoted to M1 in FDD at EY. Manager FP&A at software unicorn. Base $115k, bonus 7.5%, approx $45k RSU’s vesting over 4 years. Work life balance is allegedly great, path to promotion to SM in 6-12 months. Comp feels like more of a lateral move but company culture seems great.
If I get rejected after final rounds at Big 4 is it weird to immediately apply to the same firm but different role? Will they know I just got rejected? Experienced hire btw
Hi Fishes, Wanted to know something quickly before making a decision - I am getting 14lpa fixed salary as part of an offer from one the big 4. My variable will be on top of this right? And next yrs hike will be (14 + 14*x% ) hike right to become new fixed?? Please help need to make a decision by EOD or offer will be retracted
Worked hard, won business and asked for a raise - got 10%. Now closer to median salary for my YOE. But it’s not in effect until my first year anniversary which is 2-3 months away. Should I accept the raise or negotiate?
Starting a new role soon where I’ll be managing a team for the first time in my career. What are some examples or traits that good leaders have displayed in your past? I want to develop into a healthy, supportive boss but unfortunately have only experienced toxic bosses so my resources on how to do this are limited.
Just got an offer for a Sr. AWS DevOps role at 145K, I will be working remotely 100% with maybe 5% travel, if any. No bonus with this company. I have over 8 years of DevOps and AWS, all AWS certs . Should I be asking for more $? Thoughts on the offer and how much more $ I should be asking for ? Current location is kinda irrelevant since I will be working remotely.
Can anyone refer me in their company..as I lost my job YOE: 4 years and 2 months Profile: consulting (Was in calling profile) Previous CTC was 7.5lakhs I tried applying through company websites but no response so referral would be effective If possible please let me know so I can share my resume.
Should I tell my boss I'm applying for jobs out of state, even though moving is contingent on getting a new job there? Especially since it's only January but there's already jobs up for interview...
Spent a year in banking at an EB but had to go back to school because of H1B visa issues. About to start as a BA at McK in the fall. Any thoughts on my ability to recruit for summer 2022 PE Assoc roles? Or do I have to spend minimum 2 years in consulting before making the switch?
Hello everyone Currently am working with shriram life insurance as a Business Development Manager has been from last 2 and half year of experience. Before that am working for yes bank, now am looking for enter in IT sector. Can plz suggest me any references or the thing which i should adopt.
Hi Fishers, What will be the approximate response time from Servicenow HR team? It has been a week since i completed all 5 rounds of interview. I have 2 other offers in hand. Not able to decide, if I need to wait for Servicenow or move forward.
How to get into top 3 MBA with decent (3.7-3.8) undergrad grades from a state school, 740+ GMAT, as a straight white male at a Big 4?
From one Desi to fellow Desi reaching out for help ! I have had some luck with MBB firms but failed to convert. I am currently Senior Manager at big 4 with end to end SC experience. I will highly appreciate if folks from MBB/exMBB could spare time to provide me some guidance.
I got a $8,000 raise for year end and promotion, and no bonus. I just got written offer from other big 4 for 40k more then I am making at Deloitte.
L1B to L1A then EBC1 - possible? I’m currently on a L1B at Accenture, based in US which will expire soon and getting extended. Accenture hasn’t been super helpful with my immigration inquires. I’m up for manager and debating if I should do the L1B to L1A transfer or just wait it out until my L1B expires. Do I not qualify for EBC1 since I got my L1A in the country and not prior to transferring with that 1 year managerial experience abroad?
Teachers, how long do you think it would take you to get back into the groove of teaching once all students return to the classroom?
Capgemini is hiring for RPA/Intelligent Automation roles in the US. I do not believe they are able to sponsor candidates for these roles. The roles are primarily remote (travel to client as required/when offices open) but would prefer the candidates to be located in Charlotte, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and El Paso. DM me if you are interested in any of the below roles and I can provide more details. UiPath: Business analyst, developer, solution architect WorkFusion: Solution Architect
Why does everyone put Tech / FAANG on such a pedestal, claiming it’s better than MBB. Sure, the comp and WLB may be better, but you won’t be doing as meaningful and impactful work e.g. Govt Covid response, Gates foundation projects, industry defining projects in the space of a few months etc
Pregnant IBanking Director who will be a single mom needs advice on negotiating maternity leave - I have been with a boutique Ibank for 10 hrs and wish to ask for paid maternity leave and flexible WFH for another 3 months. Can you share any precedents form the industry? Our company policy is terrible (12 wk unpaid) and I wish to use my leverage to advocate for changing the policy for all future parents, not just for myself. Many thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I have been offered Grade C2 for IT Analyst position in Tcs. What does grade C2 mean here? Can someone please explain?
What does M&A consulting at big 4 look like, especially at the entry level? All my previous experience is in audit/tax and I know nothing about consulting, just wanted to try something new. I liked my finance courses in undergrad, but not sure how relevant that is. Would I have ANY transferable skills from my accounting background? Can you explain what the work is like for a new hire? Especially if you've made a similar switch?
