I recently got my H1B renewal notice but my wife’s H4/EAD is not approved yet (filed in Feb). If I want to travel to my home country with my wife in June, can my wife get stamping done in home country after receiving the approval notice (say Sep) ? Also, how does biometrics work for H4-EAD in such cases ? TIA
I’m at a Marriott post Starwood acquisition and noticed that they’ve adopted “Make a Green Choice” for 500 points. Given the 1:3 conversion of MR:SPG, shouldn’t they be giving 1500 points?
Showing up at your typical hotel and realizing you forgot to book and they're sold out😫 mondaze
Looking to burn Marriott points and air miles? Thoroughly recommend the JW on Isla Della Rosa - Venice....
My United Global services is expiring at the end of this year. What should I make sure I do before?

Hi Fishbowl. I moved from San Francisco to LA in May. Filed a LCA. No response received. I'm travelling internationally for a month in Dec. Do i need to wait for approval before I can travel? continue
I've just been reminded on how amazing a TUMI carry-on is. Currently using my non-TUMI for travel. 😢

Send me referrals please. Regional firm with a 300-400 headcount risk advisory practice that is growing like crazy. Mostly in CLT and NYC and working with large banks. Limited travel for most.
Hello, can you please tell if I can travel to India, while there is a pending LCA for change of location? I don’t need to get any stamping done, this is my only concern.

Just received my EAD and travel permit through marriage based GC. My current H1-B is not stamped. I need to travel out of the country - do I bother getting my H1 stamped or just travel using parole?
Best fare class/value options to gain Medallion Status with Delta? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Delta broke my checked in luggage wheel and is reimbursing me around $150. What should I get? Domestic carry-on mostly.
Not sure if this has been shared on here, but looks like Bonvoy is updating point redemptions to align with cash value of rooms vs seasonal peaks / hotel categories. So for example a Category 8 hotel in peak season is 100k points/night, regardless of nightly rate (let’s say it’s $2,000/night). I’m speculating you’ll see that jump to something like a 1:100 exchange so that the same hotel room in 2022 will be 200k points / night.
How much do senior managers make at EY in ATL? I’m trying to see if I pursue an offer or stick it out in the hopes they’ll pay up come promo time. Non tech.
Any thoughts on Amazon’s international tax / transfer pricing department? Culture, type of work, wlb, etc?
When you put a ticket on hold with your travel agency and the airline changes the price, do you pay your hold price when you're ticketed or the new price?
Has anyone’s firm who has been back in the office announced anything about going back to wfh because of Covid cases spiking / new variant?
I'm very much an investing novice and looking for thoughts on how to maximize gains. I've had a small portfolio with schwab for a few years (intelligent portfolio on medium risk tolerance) that has been steady, but should I also be picking stocks on the side outside of their ETFs? And if so, where do you start for selection? 32 y/o with maxed out 401k if that makes a difference (though I do contribute very little for my HSA - should that be more of a thing?)
After you have been through all the interviews with EY, assuming things went well, how long did you have to wait to get an offer?
How bad is it to renege on an accepted job offer? A new offer came in at a 33% higher tc, this is a senior manager level role. Concerned about reputational impact especially at this level and this cyber industry. Is there anyone who has actually reneged a job offer and can speak to the their personal experience?
I have been a computer engineer for the past 2 years and am looking to shift to a fully remote role, what companies are hiring for remote work right now?

Would you reach out to a contact to try an initiate an internal transfer, even though you’re in the process of 2 job interviews, or would you wait and see how they turn out?
Does anyone else feel like this pandemic has helped level out the playing field between working moms and everyone else? Although the beginning of the pandemic was a nightmare with no access to childcare, continuing to be able to work from home has provided me with the opportunity to advance my career, where I could not before because of the time constraints of my commute and getting home to relieve my childcare. Am I alone in feeling this way?
has anyone revised what they expect in comp in the interview process? interviewing for a tech firm and quoted base+bonus but no RSUs. upon researching more feel like i low-balled a bit and should have asked for RSUs too.
What is reason for putting salary on MBA application? Is that something that can be left blank? Making around $120k total comp if that makes a difference
Anybody else use “Messrs.”?
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
On Parents and curriculum “…It’s absurd for parents to tell teachers what to teach,” said Diane Ravitch, an education historian and advocate for public schools. “The result would be chaos, and in most cases would be parents telling teachers to teach the way they were taught decades earlier.” What’s more, she said, “It thoroughly discredits the teacher’s professionalism and expertise,” adding: “I can’t think of a more effective way to demoralize teachers and drive them out of the classroom…” https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2021/10/28/parental-rights-in-schools-untenable/
