Hi everyone, i wanted to switch the job and appeared for an interview at Accenture. I've cleared the telephonic round, client interview and Accenture internal technical round. I received an email to expect a HR interview. If everything goes fine how much should i negotiate?

Anyone on Keto? How do you do it on the road?
Just make sure you raise your objection, calmly, logically, and make sure you do it THIS week. Give a good reason why you cannot make it.
Just please, please do not bend over and take it. It will just embolden your PPD to take more in the future and maybe your resistance will make others feel safe enough to raise objections as well. People especially at Junior levels are to afraid to push back on leadership making unreasonable demands
Damn, OP. Depending on the exact details - what PPD is demanding may be unreasonable. For example, does the whole team have to be there - take turns? Is there someone willing to take one for the team in return for some sort of recognition?
Point is, there are ways to avoid this unless it's absolutely necessary, and I hope your PPD actually tried their best to do what is right.
This sounds like a bunch of crap on the partner's side.
You can always say you have prior family commitments and you will not be staying at client site for Dates X, Y, and Z.
They cannot force you to be there, and you can fight a negative rating that is causing you to miss Christmas with your family. Possible you would get rolled off but why would you want to stay on a project that can't figure out a way to have people home with their family 3 months out?
It's things like this that make me hate everyone and everything in consulting.
Fuck that noise
Call up Cathy and tell her your PPMD is stealing those two High 5 days!
Honestly dude, fuck your project. The hell is wrong with people who think aligning PowerPoint objects and cleaning up excel files is more important than spending Christmas at home with your family
Agree with D3. At the end of the day, we are not saving lives here. Anything that "needs" to happen can surely wait. The real driver here seems to be that the PPD either over-promised on timeline, lock in the next piece of work, or is trying to protect their precious margin.
All of these reasons (or any other) is not worth you personally sacrificing your time. I used to work at Deloitte and this is borderline immoral and unethical (the mandatory part).
I suggest saying what D3 suggested and if you are threatened for not "toeing the line", I would raise it up the ranks or even go to HR. This will be an easy win for you and will serve as a reminder to that douchebag of a PPD that you should work to live and not live to work.
Fuck them.
Doesn't sound like it. Must be a shit client if they're expecting to work folks over the holidays like that.
Book travel home now. It is SO NOT WORTH IT and things change all the time. Better to ask forgiveness than permission in this situation. Be with your mom and daughter. That is more important than anything else. They did this to me when I was at D and I wish someone had told me what I am telling you. It's client service, not client servitude.
Must be even more of a shit PPED to bend over without working with the team. Large team?
This is BS. Tell them you have prior commitments
"It's my daughter's first Christmas". Try that maybe?
And thanked us for sacrificing holiday and family time to support the project. No room for negotiation. I have no family nearby. Sad I'll be spending it away from family. Daughter's first Christmas. My mother isn't doing so well either. Lots of low morale but most of the team is local and just irritated they have to come into the office. Do I have any option for appealing this somehow beyond rolling myself off the project or quitting the firm?
What service line is this? Most clients are really quiet in the last two weeks of December
Lmao. If you bend to this you're a coward and deserve to miss the holidays. Tell your PPD no flat out, he can roll you off if he sees fit. This is beyond unreasonable and you'll always regret not being at home for your kid
Say no. Life is more important than this job. DO NOT miss Christmas with your kids. You can't repair that shit. Even if your daughter doesn't remember your SO will. That's a permanent erosion in the relationship, I promise.
Would love to see a partner weigh in here. 🍿
Apparently the client asked to have people on site every day except federal holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays during this timeframe. Christmas and New Years falls during this time frame. A lot of upset people in the office today. Murmurings of low morale. Little pushback from middle management. They rolled over and pushed the responsibility onto junior people. Most of them live locally to this project. My first project at Deloitte. I'm thinking it'll be my last. This is not worth it.
Too bad Cathy can't see this, because then it would force leadership to confront Deloitte's shitty culture (but I do love Cathy no hate for her)
