Pregnancy brain is real, the hormones are real. I feel like I am making mistakes left and right at work. I am so anxious about every thing, to the point where my mind has been racing all weekend. Week 27 and counting down the days for mat leave so I can’t mess anything else up 😭. Has anyone gone through this?

I had this a couple of weeks ago. But I am pretty chill now although still brain dead after a long day of work. The major part of my anxiety is that I am up for promotion this October and the decision/valuation is probably till July, so I had to prove myself. But now, the decision is pretty much made and just not announced yet. So I will take it easy for a while until taking off in mid Nov. actually with a calm mind, I think I function better now. Just tired but no anxiety.

I’m at adam&eve DDB. Emails begin at 5:30am and go on until 22:00. We never, ever gets lunchtimes. We don’t finish on time. People are going sick with stress. Curious to know if we are the only agency where leadership haven’t put any rules or protections in place for mental health. What about your agency? (Didn’t WK stop emails after a certain time and make sure everybody got lunch break where there were no meetings allowed - something like that?)

How to regain confidence after bad stint at previous company? I was a pretty good employee at my last 2 companies and well respected by coworkers and managers, however, I took a role where the managers would gaslight me into thinking that I was really incompetent and pick on me for the smallest things. It ruined my confidence and I ended up resigning for the sake of my mental health. Anybody have any similar experiences and share how they overcame something like this. Thanks!

Help! I could use some ideas. I have 15 students, 1 with IEP’s , 3 on 504’s, 1 GT, 2 others at higher levels, 1 emotional basket case, 1 ADD on steroids (even though he Tries to be good) and 6 ordinary kiddos. For anyone debating whether to go in house, I recently went in house, and the mental health benefit of not having to worry about billable hours is completely worth the switch. It's great not having to worry about catching up on hours when I'm out for a doctor's appointment, vacation, etc. It's more of a mental health relief than I guessed it would be.

How do I set good boundaries during my maternity leave?

Background: During my 1st leave, my backfill kept reaching out to me & cc’ing me in emails & I felt obligated to respond since we didn’t fully transition b/c baby came early.

In my third trimester and feeling a little insecure about how big my boobs have gotten. They are two cup sizes bigger than my pre-pregnancy size. And even though I’ve been eating healthy my weight gain is more than the recommendation. I’m so thankful to have a healthy pregnancy but as a lifelong athlete, the discomfort is setting in. Do your boobs go back down after breastfeeding?
