we were pregnant and had a kid and now raising a newborn during this pandemic. it’s been stressful, since you can’t share the joy with everyone like you normally would. helpers need to be more careful around you, since babies’ immune systems suck.
only silver lining is that i’m WFH, so i get to spend more time with my boy and wife than i would normally.

Just the idea of becoming pregnant right now stresses me out. The unknown impact of the virus. The potential impact of the vaccine. Job insecurity. Lack of help. The general crumminess of the world. 🥺

hope #3Nov2020 night brings new hope.
I couldn’t imagine dealing with pregnancy right now. I recently saw a quick video where they had the newborns in the nursery with face shields. I hope this Orwellian nightmare caused by Covid ends soon.

As someone expecting a bby in November, Yay! Finally an article not saying covid is great while pregnant Bc we can work from home, and ignoring all the other difficulties. national maternity leave should exist . Grateful I work at a firm now offering over 12 weeks paid leave (thanks to NYC paid leave laws!) but it upsets me that this isn't the standard for all new moms, and that pregnant women are unable to switch jobs since usually leave is dependent on being with your firm for over a yr
I cannot imagine a better time to have a baby than the last few months. Partner is likely working from home, no need to wake up at 5am after a crap night of sleep to get pretty and commute into the office, no pumping in the office, no trying to juggle the office commitments and home commitments and travel time to/from work.
Total dream scenario having done it the hard way.
