I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

I started my short term disability a week before my scheduled due date and I ended going to labor earlier than expected so I'm glad I did it! It does count as part of your 16 week allotment (at least for our firm it did) so just make sure you take that into account. Go get some rest and have a healthy baby! Have a good night!

Omg- don't let the men on this app give you advice on STD and Mat leave. Most women take mat leave, then use either STD and PTO but not sure I'm which order. Look up your firm policies. And talk to other moms you know. You're carrying a human being in your body and squeezing a watermelon through a lemon. For a 1st world country we have the WORST mat leave policies out there. You've earned it, take it... all of it!
How to keep up with traveling? I get really tired and exhausted. Feel nauseated taking early morning flight 😞. Any suggestions

Yes I took std for 6 weeks although first week of it is PTO (at Deloitte) and then mat leave. I started it as soon as I went into labor....not before...to maximize time with baby. Not sure how long mat leave is at ey.
Also your doctor can give you a note regarding travel restrictions. You probably should be traveling the month before your due date in case you go early. Try to get on a local or virtual project the last month or two.

Typically the total "parental leave" advertised includes a combination of short-term disability and some fully-paid LOA. It feels the same to you but the firm gets reimbursed for some of it.
