I presented my ideas to my boss in a 1 page summary, bulletpoints. Also list out your specific responsibilities if you are reducing your work FTE. Give them a good amount of time to think about it too, don’t spring it last minute. Have to say that much of your work reputation and efforts will indicate the success of your asks. I also suggested we have weekly or every 2 week check ins at the beginning so we can discuss whether this new plan works or does not (and how to adjust), and we kept this for just a few months. I’m a little over a year back on new schedule and it’s a win-win. DM if you want to discuss more. Good luck!
Is it a daycare thing too? Some employers have been flexible with parents with limited daycare options.
