Approximately 22 weeks - I waited until after my review results were released because I didn’t want to feel like me being pregnant and taking 5 months off was going to have an impact on my rating. Plus I’m a pretty private person. On the flip side my director told everyone at like 4.5 weeks because she wanted support for the team. You really have to do what feels right for you.

I waited until they asked.

@M1 Lol, someone finally "asked" just before 6 months. Well, an older client in a meeting said "So when is the big day!?". Lol

It’s a completely personal decision. I waited until about 3 months to let my closest coworkers know and more broader was shared around 5 as I started showing.

I waited until 18 weeks for my first child and only told my team as we had a team outing later on the week. I knew they would know something was up when I did not drink which is not the normal me.

Currently contemplating the exact same thing especially bcos I'm a recently promoted senior and I haven't seen any "seniors" in my practice that's pregnant, only managers and above. So not sure how it'll be received. But I am planning to tell my counselor and then the engagement partner after my 20weeks anatomy ultrasound. That way, I'll be able to answer once and for all possible questions including if I know baby's gender.

I did at 19-20weeks cz it was right b4 thanksgiving and we had a huge team dinner thing.. teams like news about pregnancies so dont feel shy to bring it up but its totally fine to be private about it too. For me when i found out i was preggers i was starting a new gig at the client as the eng manager too so it was a key project and i didnt want ‘sympathy’ or anything like that which is y i chose not to being up til b4 the holidays which was close to the project ending too.. worked out nicely. In fact people were shocked i managed thru 85% of the project (particularly the start of it which was pretty demanding and stressful bcz of the type of work and some of the client stakeholders personalities) .. its funny how people start to perceive u diff when they know ure growing another human being inside u :)

Eat small but frequent meals as the nauseous is worse on an empty stomach. Also, you might have to try a bunch of things as everyone is different. I tried the motion sickness pressure bands, eating crackers before getting out of bed, eating bland food like plain bread. But what really helped was a combination of Vit B6 and Unisom, they are OTC drugs but I'll recommend you ask your OBGYN before taking any drugs. Also, note that Unisom is a sleep aid, so start with breaking it in half and using in the night if you decide to go that route. Hang in there, the nausea gets better especially in second trimester!

Asking this question here for a reason. In our culture and set up, a majority of the time is spent in cooking. We usually don’t eat microwave meals. Interviewed for Uber Strategy Manager- what a massive joke. Wouldn't tell me the comp on the first interview. Case studies are 3x the size of any other case study I've done for actual fortune 100 companies. And then interview with everyone and their mother, all who wax eloquent about my solutions. But then the last person gives me another case study to do. Towards the end, everyone and HR is giving me a verbal offer, telling me they're excited about me joining their team, I should join asap.
