Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Start doing frameworking exercises on your own. Un timed.
Pick up WSJ or FT or NY times. Look at the headlines and take 5 minutes to just think about what factors you could look at. You’ll start to realize after a few days that it’s a lot of the same things for most biz problems. If you want to, do this exercise with a friend. You would both benefit from considering things maybe one of you skipped.
Then think about how you would organize them on paper. Obviously you’ll have to customize the terms. But that becomes easier when you have the factors and structure nailed down.
Yeah it might sound dorky but I would go to the driving range with a friend I was case prepping with and we’d just talk about 3-4 headlines while hitting some balls or over drinks. Eventually we started doing full cases but taking the time to nail down our frameworks really worked wonders.
Practice a lot! How much time before interviews?
Yeah I’ve been trying but part of me is getting nervous thinking I am not ready and stressing myself out. I have 2 weeks left

Literally, same. Except my brainstorming and math is strong, but structure communication is weak.

Thank you, BCG1! I find myself fumbling a lot while communicating structure because I’m always second guessing myself while saying it out loud and not focusing on presenting. I will definitely do more reps going forward!
