I’m renting out my 1 bedroom loft w/ a lot of amenities in the South Loop. Anyone here seriously interested? 1950/mo
I’m fairly new to the FIRE movement. When calculating your percent of savings, do you use your take home pay amount net of all deductions? For example, I contribute about 20% of my paycheck to my 401K each pay period, so I’m not sure if I’m suppose to be including this retirement balance in the calculation. I won’t be able to pull from the account if I retire early as there are penalties fees.
Hey Fishes Need some insight on the CTC offered by EPAM Systems. 1. What all is included in their fixed part (PF, gratuity, Medical, Food coupon etc?) 2. What is percentage of basic pay from the overall fixed part? Like 40%, 50% 3. Are there any components which are not included in CTC but paid over and above? 4. Do they offer joining bonus for early or immediate joiners? 5. How is WLB, job security, work culture? For better reach Tata Consultancy Infosys Accenture Deloitte Wipro EY PwC KPMG
Can anyone recommend good books or articles on startup org charts and hiring? Think we’ve hit early signs of product/market fit, but not sure who to hire next, in what order, and how the org should evolve over next few years.
Today, i had 5min of discussion with recruitment panel of wipro and took screenshot of me during video call.
Got invite like Wipro TAF Screenshot.
Can someone tell me what is it?
Has anyone had success transferring Chase Ultimate Reward points to a friend? I see that only “household” transfers are allowed but don’t know if there’s leeway with the term. Worried chase might flag the accounts or stop the transfer if the billing addresses don’t match. The transfer is only for 40K
I started my firm recently (immigration) and am a true solo. I have experience in a few very specific case types and do lots of research, but don't have enough experience to easily strategize for each consult. I know this will come in time as I do more types of cases and have a background of knowledge to pull from, but I need to grow my business too. I think hiring a very capable paralegal would be the best option, but I'm paying myself 1k a week. I doubt I'd be able to pay an employee. Ideas?
Oh wait, that's right. Vacation is really just a glorified version of working remotely.
Has someone been on boarded in Cognizant.
YOE : 4 Yrs working in Service based. I like designing applications & coding them from scratch. But I don't like Leetcoding. Every time I open and try to solve some problem I tend to give up and keep getting frustrated. How do I motivate myself to invest time in Leetcode. Recommendations for a white leather low top sneaker. The forum has mentions of KOIO, common projects, Gucci… what do you guys recommend? It’s for a male :)
Hello dear fishes,
I have a relative looking good jobs as a supply chain manager?
Would appreciate any referrals or leads.
Do you have a recommendation of trainings or books that help to improve verbal communication skills?
Can someone please explain what’s so appealing about mimes? I don’t get it and they kinda creep me out, why do people like that stuff?

Stayed up till 1 am Friday night working on a deck. And still have a few hours to put in this weekend. But way more energized this weekend, than last when I had a boring 40 hr week. Ahhhh, ADHD...
Newly diagnosed & medicated and new to consulting.
I’m great with clients but getting bad evaluations because I’m slow to produce work and don’t take time to communicate status.
I’m trying really hard but I keep getting stuck in perfection loops and scared to share things before they’re perfect.
Did you struggle with this & find a way to improve? I’m terrified I’m going to get counseled out, but I love this job so much.
What is your melatonin dosage?
Does anybody else feel the need to work on projects with tangible applications/results? When I work on financial/IT work, I feel like the numbers are all floating in the air and don't really make a difference. On supply chain projects, I don't feel so much like I'm treading water because things are physically being moved and progress is easily measurable.
Need to brag- for the first time in my life, my performance review says "very organized".
First year medicated, I knew it was making a difference for me but seeing the evidence on paper is still crazy.
So i have adhd and really bad anxiety. Seeing a physchiatrist that will likely put me on anti anxiety meds.
Has anyone with adhd here gone on anti anxiety meds without treating the adhd, and if so how did the meds affect concentration and memory?
One method I’ve found helpful in developing solid “soft skills” in Big 4 consulting is to deeply educate myself across the field of social engineering. The book I started with first was, “Human Hacking” by Chris Hadnagy. The applicable knowledge I’ve gained has been invaluable. Way more valuable than anything I read from “Trusted Advisor” guidance. Thoughts?
Embarrassing ADHD moments? I'll start
1. Drove home 2 hours tonight only to realize 2 hours later that I forgot my laptop bag
2. Went out of town and left meat out the freezer. Called an uber driver to use my padlock to get into my place and put it back
3. Driven off with the gas pump in my car. Twice
4. Walked in, paid for gas, walked out, got in my car and drove off
5. Forgot gyro meat in my air fryer for 2 weeks.
do you guys just...not know what you want?
so far my career has gone pretty well just spontaneously applying for things that have sounded interesting.
Now, my current company is very supportive and wants to help my career plan - problem is I have no plan because I don't know what I want to do, and I can't choose what I want to do because I don't know what I like. my stupid brain cannot form an opinion based on anything other than what I did that exact day.
My Vyvanse meds make me pretty dehydrated. No matter how much water I drink, my mouth is still dry plus it makes me end up needing to use the bathroom often. Any tips for dealing with both of these issues?
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and depression. I have couple questions, it would be really helpful if you can help me here as I have no ecosystem/network who can help me.
1. Doc said ADHD medication would help with the later. Has anyone else been diagnosed with similar thing and did only the ADHD med help? I feel great somedays and somedYs feels like I want to die (For context: I am on concerta which is slow release)

anyone else taking strattera having sexual side effects? (ED,etc) just started taking it and wondering if that goes away after a bit or if it’s ongoing because no… just no.
Has anyone tried focus factor sold at Costco
I’ve had enough. I may or may not have ADHD but I damn think so, as well as people I’ve talked to about it. I know I am smart and can accomplish certain things/tasks, but I literally just can’t get my mind to it sometimes. It was bad in college and only got worse since I started working. How do I go about at least getting tested or what’s the the process? Thank you so much in advance.
Has anyone ever had weird side effects after getting their meds filled from a different manufacturer than what you’re used to?
I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?
I started taking Adderal, 2.5 g which is not really a lot. It didn’t really help with my focus, instead I felt restless and somehow nervous and really thirsty. And it made me clench my teeth. I do grind my teeth during nighttime but never experienced this in the daytime. Does it take time to get used to it?
I am always embarrassingly late to the office/client site in the mornings.
It seems to be a combo of only going in 1-2 times a week so I can’t get a routine and general time blindness. I do take my meds first thing so I’m able to at least complete getting ready tasks one by one…
Any and all advice welcome!
How do you mange your attention to detail as a consultant. This something I’m struggling with and have received feedback on. Do you disclose that you have add so proper accommodations can be put into place?
